Game hangs when leaving Boulder

Both on chrome and ios - 5/6 times (for me) when leaving boulder the game hangs and app needs to be shut down and restarted. This has been happening to a bunch of other people also. I thought at first that it was due to being up there for too long and Chrome acting up. I'm not a desktop player generally. Howver, on a short jaunt (not camping) I tried to get out and again had the problem, this time on ipad.
