Good start there! I was a lot worse. I am currently a very experienced artist right now (not just drawing, but also in musical art). If you truly want to be a good artist, devote time into drawing straight lines without using a ruler. There are techniques to this, it's much more complicated than making a single giant stroke down. It's a good skill to learn, and it helps with hand coordination and overall drawing, as there are a lot of lines you'd need to make.
