Probably bears, as long as someone tells you a decent build your fine :).

Bears are for beginners whereas mages are for more advanced players. But you could say "dumb down" the skill needed for a mage by just going a kite build.

For bears your stats shall be all dex (aka all the attribute points you get you put into dexterity)
Builds: 6 rage 6 stomp 1 super mega slash 1 crippling slash or 6 rage 5 stomp 1 super mega slash 1 crippling slash 1 crushing blow
(There are other builds that work just fine but these are the two main builds that are used and work well)
Gear:
Talon setup: l15 pink talon, l15 pink dex halloween helm, l15 pink bloody evidence bracer, and l15 experts or (l15 artisan - depends on hit)
Forgotten bow setup: l15 pink forgotten bow, l15 pink dex halloween helm, and l15 artisan or (l15 experts - depends on hit)

Rings: talon setup: get the 2% crit 8 damage ring
Fbow setup: get the 2% hit and 8 damage ring

Face: get the Mecha face (2% hit)
