Do mythic helms and hooks still drop from them? If yes, are the odds there as miserable as in other elite goldens?

:D YUP but better then arcane :) Just the hooks were removed from the pirate chest

I thought hooks were removed from crates? Correct if I am wrong.

Oh, I hoped they were removed only from lockeds... I was planning to invest some gold in chests and gamble a bit. Warchests seem to be nice investment, because aside armor/amulets/rings/maul there is talon egg, but wars are 2,5 times more expensive, so I'm not sure about do they really give bigger return than pirates...

Arcanes still drop in elite goldens hence the pricetag.
Your chances of looting however are minimal. Iv spent close to 10m on elite goldens and never looted anything better than legendary junk. Not a gamble I'd be willing to take again! You'd be better off farming/merching and saving up :)
