how do elixirs work

ok can someone explain me how elixirs work , someone said what i know is wrong so i wanted to learn the right one

You can't actually see the stat changes on your toon (e.g. if your Armor is 250 before you buy an elixir, it'll still say 250 after you have bought the elixir, even though the stats have been increased). Also, it just multiplies that particular stat by however much the elixir says (in the Armor case, if you bought Thrasher Pwnage Punch, your armor is now 750.)

Also, multiple elixirs bought don't multiply, instead they stack (so if you got double xp for a week, and Loco Playa's Drank, instead of gaining 8x xp (2x4), you'll only get 6x xp. I guess this was a measure to stop people capping within a few hours...)
