We are holding a "Spread-the-Word" contest with the grand prize being:

Also is winner random among entrants? Picking "best of the reviews" seems like it might not be the best of ideas for partiality reasons.

What about a weapon, that you can change at any time you want? That way, you could use it for your enchantress as a staff/wand, and then switch it right over to your warrior as a sword/shield. I think that would be pretty neat as a prize.

OMG!!! deal if the sheild stats are improved with every expansion, e.g for now the shield would be lvl 35 but when alien expansion comes out make it lvl 40 shield with better stats, so i can use the shield forever. an make the shield non tradable so winner cant sell it.

ive never done a review in my life, and i failed english class all tho school, but with a prise this great ill definitely give it my best shot!

ive been farming for zombies saintly shield ever since ancient swamps came out, which seems pretty dumb considering it looks exactly the same as the saintly shield of the bear >.<

Just a suggestion, and this isn't where I plan on posting my review if I get around to doing it, but why not do it on the forums of a site like TiPb.com? There are tons of iPhone sites out there. You could also do IGN forums, IGN.com has user reviews I think. Gamespot also has user reviews of iPhone games I think as well.

A forum with attract more attention though, which in turn will help out this game. Helping out this game is what this contest is all about.

OK guys ive done my review its close to 500 words, spent a few hours on it, it isnt so much the shield i want, its just geting the developers to know me a bit better, seing as i love the game so much.

There are many words i can say about a MMORPG On a Phone It's just amazing of what some people can accomplish. It is an easy setout game with many tips and starters to get you all off and going, The items have many names and many stats all descripted well. The dungeons are Vast and A new experiance to all there aren't the same monsters There are always new ones as you level up which Gets addictive as you level up The NPCS Offer advice for new players too which is very helpful for a mobile Phone MMO it's a Big Step up with technoligy and looking forward to the new features being released soon, As well as the updates. The music is calming, Raged, and alot of moods in one the tempo is also steady at all times It one amazing app In one amazing mind of a creator. 400 words is a little extreme so i did my best, so all the best to the devs and The creator Behind this masterpiece of an MMO.

fANTASTIC idea, truly fantastic. I hope this is a success and we see more like it. I would suggest talking to any devs or friends that were around back in the early Everquest days when the GMs actually interacted with us. they would do awesome pvp events or special quests and the prize would be what was called an artifact. Generally there were only one of these items per server and they were awesome!

Almost enough to unbalance the game lol. Very fine line, eventually there were much better items but it took a couple more expansions to get there. They had a clickable or proc that was otherwise unavailable in item form. Think rage proc, firestorm, lightning, focus, heal etc. Another approach could be massive regen if u are worried about unbalanced pvp dps.

Some people can't compete with flashy graphics, and to be honest - amateur ipod app footage generally looks terrible and never does the app justice.

On another note - A text review is more likely to bring in new customers as people are more likely to type into google, "mmorpg app" or something - and a text review is more likely to catch that search.

Well, I think my review is both quality and quantity. :p But we'll let the Devs decide. The important point is that we're all spreading the love for PL.

As for the word count, you can blame my liberal-arts education. I have a really hard time writing anything that's less than 1000 words. Forum posts are an exception. ;)

This will have the stats of an existing rare or? With pvp coming and considering how much plat most of us have spent and how many friends we have brought in I hope someone doesn't get a game affecting item due to being paid to try to review a game.

I have seen other games start like this and go down later and I think a lot of us would selflessly write great reviews without being bribed once the game matures a bit and such...If it has existing stats off another item but a custom sprite that would be great and worthy of bragging rights!

Maybe you could create another 1-handed weapon with Int req. (or make daggers accessible to all classes). Come to think of it, maybe it would look alright with the voodoo pin. That's a massive wand.

good idea, i dont think my 500 word review can compare to the awsomeness of haroldiv's video review lol

would be cool if i got the shield, kinda over farming for a zombie shield, been doing that for over a week.

oh and thanks devs for patching up the out of lvl glitch for swamps, alot of greedy people were exploiting that to get pink drops.

But really I don't care if that shield has 0 stats I would still kill for it and use it 100% of the time hehe. I just hope my review stacks up aginst all these other aweosme ones iv read.

Pocket Legends the best MMO I've played, and best thing is: it's portable wherever you have wifi! From zombies to knights, battle through 6 massive map packs choosing to be an Archer, Enchantress, or Warrior!

The first map pack is free and is called Forest Haven where you battle zombies, skeletons, and knights; being a level 1-10 is recommended. The next map pack is called Dark Forest(10-15) where you help save a village and battle zombies, skeletons, and knights!

Every map pack costs 10 platinum which you can buy with an iTunes card (located at your local grocery store) or credit card.

The rest of the maps are Balefort castle(15-20) where you battle strong, armored knights and get black swords and armor. The Fathom Crypts(20-25) are where you battle skeletons, zombies, and demons you also get great drops from here as well! The Lost Expedition(25-30) where you battle giant yetis and ice kings and get enchanted items like ice bows, staffs and ice armor to ensure that you will have some of the best gear around!

Last, but definitely not easiest, is The Ancient Swamps(30+). This map pack is not joking around... only the pros play here. The Ancient Swamps are where you fight Giant Crocs and Evil Voodoo Wizards. This is a great place to get drops!

As you level up through these map packs you will be able to give your character points for dexterity (which increases your hit and dodge chance), strength (which increases health and base damage), and intelligence (which increases magic and magic regeneration). Combine all these according to your character and you will be the best archer, enchantress, or warrior!

As you level up, you gain power-ups which can make your attacks more powerful.

If you are new and want to make some friends you should go to the towne which is where most players hang out to make friends and buy new items (such as armor, health/mana potions, and weapons).

We are going to get PvP(Player Vs. Player) soon as well, which everyone playing Pocket Legends is anticipating greatly. Due to PvP, we are having a sale on great items that will inflict crazy damage... for only 2 platinum!

Pocket Legends just released a little over a month ago so expect new weapons, maps and other updates to be coming.

My way only works on the iPhone 3GS right now but should work for iPad soon now that it is also jail broken. U need an app from cydia called tvout2 which will give u a RCA quality connection out of any app that doesn't use the camera API. I have my apple av connection kit plugged into a analog to digital video converter for the Mac. If you have a pc there are much much cheaper ways to do this. Like 40$ for a dazzle video converter.

Problem is they are hard to come by for the Mac. There are lots of crap products out there that only work with their own software. Do not buy anything from eyetv or elgato. What i use is called a canopus advc 110. From there it is really simple to connect to iMovie and start importing footage.

This method also works to play iPhone games on a big screen hehe.

Lol akota has a good point, my review took less time for me to write than it takes for a pink item to drop for me, but I guess I just have bad luck when it comes to pinks. Lol

if I win, I may switch to warrior again, because a shield for archers gives me to low dps. I'm not sure. I just wish the was a special heavy, battle or auto Xbow for archers with pl or something on it.

It's probably too late for me to say this, but I don't think it's a good idea for us to spam the same reviews to multiple sites. That makes us look like spammers/scammers, and it might damage PL's reputation. If you want to hit multiple sites, you should write a separate review for each site.

i hope i dont sound greedy or anything because i dont want to make that impression but with pvp coming out soon, and me havning no way to get it because im going through a rough financial time atm, and i cant even afford a 20 dollar itunes card to purchase the 2 pvp packs when there released, i was thinking it would be awsome if maybe like the few runners up that dont win the main prize get maybe one of the pvp packs for free or maybe like 10 platinum or somthin which they can choose to spend on pvp or save for when alien oasis is released.

i withdraw my last comment about geting free plat or pvp packs, im sure i could wash my parents cars for the money, ill figure out something. theres 70% youth unemployment in my area, so i probly wont get a job anytime soon, i applyed for 5 jobs yesterday, and havnt heard back for any of them >.<

And FYI: if you won the shield would be made for a Mage it would have the same stats as a bracer but be in shield fourm, then you would pick a pink wand and you'd be the only Mage with a shield and a wand! That's the point of doing a shield so they could make it so ANY class could use it.

Reviewing is a subjective art, not an objective science. We all like what we like, and there isn't necessarily any consistency of personal taste. In my case, I think that Pocket Legends is a fantastic game, especially for an iPhone. Therefore, my review said so. I was entirely honest. If my conclusions differed from yours, then it is an honest difference of opinion.

Slightly off-topic, but one of my favorite ways to read movie reviews is via Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/). It's always interesting to compare & contrast different critics' reviews of the same movie. By reading enough of them, I can usually synthesize my own opinion of whether or not I'll like the flick they're reviewing....

I agree hehe, buts it's like trying to tell people a bad thing about your new Porsche. "it's the best car ever, but the trunk is small" lol just doesn't sound right. There are things about the game I think could be beter but I love the game so much on a whole it sounds like I'm being petty.

Maybe an artistic competition to draw up a monster for one of your future expansions. Concept art, like the pictures you all showed us as a preview for Alien Oasis.

I just don't know how hard it would be to figure out if the picture was actually made by the person, or stolen from another site. It was just a thought though.

Some in game competitions, PvP brackets single and group, or PvE first person to kill x amount of mobs/ get x amount of gold.

i must admit, i wrote alot in my review, i tend to write alot in short periods of time, its actually impossible for me to write like a essay in 500 words, i also go like 500-1000 words over the limit heh, for some of my coursework for uni it takes me days to cut it down :(

oh ok thats still good, when i first saw your review i noticed you said you were friends with rannos and ive been meaning to send you a friend request ever since but im on holidays in vegas at the moment so i havnt played pocket legends for almost a week now *crys*

todays my last day in vegas tho and im flying to texas were ill be able to play pocket legends at the place im staying, hopefully i can run the swamps with you a couple of times.
