How much bonus do I get? I have heard of this a lot and I am looking forward to buying Platinum soon. Does this display anywhere ingame?

Hmm its been a while since I received that bonus. You can look in the platinum purchase screen on the menu and it will tell you there, but I believe it's 50% extra.. I could be mistaken.

Should find a screen like this:

From the character selection screen, click on Nexus --> My Account --> Purchase Platinum

The first time buyer's bonus does NOT stack with special platinum offers/events (such as Plat Sale weekends, where platinum is on sale for 40% off).

So that means if I buy the $9.99 platinum, I will get 50% more which is total of 226 platinum?

No, 113 platinum. It is x + x/2, x being the original price (which in this case is 75).

It's kind of like mark up. 50% of the original price added to the original price

So that means if I buy the $9.99 platinum, I will get 50% more which is total of 226 platinum? The crossed out number with 'was' is the normal amount of platinum you'd get. So, $9.99 normally gives you 75 platinum; but, with the first time buyer bonus (+50%), you will receive the 113 platinum.

If you think you'll ever buy platinum again, buy a larger package for your first purchase.

At normal prices, 75 plat for $10 means you get 7.5 plat for each dollar spent.
600 plat for $50 is 12 platinum per dollar. There are higher pacakges than the $50, too, with more plat per dollar spent.

Using the buyer bonus on the $50 option means you'd be getting 18 plat per dollar, while using it on the $10 option would yield you 11.25 plat per dollar (less of a deal than the normal $50 option).

Choose wisely on using your first time buyer bonus!
If you're going to spend $10 this week and $10 another week, it'd be better to save the first $10 so that you can buy the $20 option and end up with more platinum.

Man... Do I look blind or what. I only said 40% because plat sale weekend was 40%.

Multiply the original amount of plat by 1.5 and that's how much you get
