Chrome stuck at Connecting To Server

AL works fine on my PC and my android. I just bought a new laptop running windows 8.1 and it keeps getting stuck at connecting to server. I've disabled my antivirus already and it just doesn't seem to want to move past this screen. It always just times out and says servers are down for maintenance. This is both with WiFi and ether net cable. Any help appreciated.

I've even tried turning off firewall as well as disabled the proxy. Can anyone help me

So apparently I tried downloading the other STS games and they all have an issue and get stuck at the contacting server screen. I have no problems with other chrome MMOS.
