So there is no way to earn plat in game? Only gold, which is basically useless?

ummm..excuse me? lol...plat is money..thats how devs earn profit. Gold is basically useless..IN REAL LIFE! gold is the money ingame dur dur
And you can get free plat on the tapjoy wall thing anyway...
Gold isn't useless, you can buy many stuff with it. You just need to have lots of those to buy good stuff. Just save up, and buy what you want. You can buy gold with platinum though.

Platinum is for extra features of the game, and I emphasize on the word "extra". Gold is in-game currency used to buy equipment and necessities.

giayuan gave good information that you should know, you can get a lot of plat using tapjoy free apps only. And buying plat is how the devs make money which helps put more content into the game and more ways to get and use gold.

And also, if 1000 gold equaled one plat, than I could redeem my all my gold and make around 3000 platinum =)
my friends are even worse, they could make millions of platinum..youll soon learn that 1k gold isnt a lot. In fact, if you want, add my first character and find me ingame, ill give you some gold.

The only thing you really need plat for is unlocking content, meaning campaigns and PvP map packs. Other than that it's just for extras like increased inventory, extra character slots, fancy hats, etc. Gold can buy you gear, potions, even elixirs, all the essentials ;)
