I just got this game, and when I tried to meet up with my brother, we couldn't find each other. We were EXACTLY at the same spot. Is this some kind of glitch? Or is there like different servers, if so, how do I switch servers?

There are different instances for each world. Add each other and someone join the other. If you can't join after that, you're in the right place.
