Vanity Dragon Rings

Hey I had just recently capped to 77 and got the Ring of Valiant Glory!! I have the ring for the Red Dragon set and I've heard that you can craft multiple dragon rings while keeping the 3pc ring. Is this true??

basically u have to spend ur 3pc and ur drag ring of choice and some gold to make a very improved 3pc drag ring
