I absolutely love the race to the cap every time a new campaign comes out. Those first few days of every cap are always the most exciting time in PL. Exploring new content, discovering all the new items, finding the tricks and secrets, etc
I'm totally pumped for 55 :D

It's because of the armour, and weapons avaliable, so uneven, by any means.

Yes, it was for not wanting to pot. I used 287 pots to get to 50(yes, I kept a tally), and I don't intend on using anymore... wasted so much money.

I hope the experience points in the new map are more evenly distributed. Crush the keeper should not have given the most experience -- made it sooo boring. And yet it was so hard to find people doing anything besides that if they were under 50.

I hope to get from 51-52 it takes 7,000 XP, from 52-53 it takes 10,000 XP, from 53-54 it takes 15,000 XP, and finally, from 54-55 it takes 23,000 XP. Makes it a very steep curve... eh?

We survived without them for months and months. You new guys are so spoiled. You know when I stared there was not even any way to transfer items (let alone trade or buy them) so if you wanted something you had to get it in a drop on that specific character ;)

Like all campaign caps since 35 (my first), I will go the 'backwards' route. Farm gear first, then rush to the cap when I find an item cool enough that I want to equip. AO3 was different for me then the others because of the difficulty and gear requirements, but in all the other campaigns I got all my experience in item farming runs, not exp farming runs (Bayou Boss Brawl for 35, Rushing the two bosses in Sand Storm for 40, Farming B'tox and R'Loxx for 45).

I now remember why I couldn't farm my way to 50 ... the rushing. Needed 50 gear to rush, and you got so little experience. Before that, the farming groups were the pro clearers, which is why those were the best for also leveling. But since rushing is gone, we can totally farm our way to 55 now. Should be fun!

Completely agree with you there...but not all were junk... scarab bows and true shot starting at 45... able to get 250 dps+ by level 47.

There are actually items from 46-49. I have/had a few. Very useful for playing while leveling.

The first bunch of groups cleared. The keeper thing came later. I only had to do that for a few levels thank goodness. Doing that for 3 50s would have been unbearable. Guess we'll see if it's a grind to 55.
