I like music a lot and thought it would be interesting to see what kind of music you guys listen to.

Post the genre of music you like best and your favorite song from that genre (and maybe a link if it's on youtube or something). Give a brief explanation of why you like that specific song and also why you like that genre in general. If you want to say more that's fine too :) I'll start:

My favorite genre of music is progressive metal. Although there are a ton of songs I could post that are less known, I think a song that pretty much gives a good feel for what I like is "Dance of Eternity" by Dream Theater. I love the amazing technical skill these guys have and since I'm a musician (when I have time...) I tend to gravitate towards stuff that's more musically complex. Here's a link:

I listen to lots of stuff but mostly reggae and dub. I recommend Dub Xtra, an internet radio station, for great reggae and dub music from all eras.

Breaking Benjamin is a definite yes. Unknown Soldier, So Cold, Evil Angel, In the End, all such great songs.
Haven't listened to much Papa Roach as of late; I may be missing out, but I'll get to that soon enough.

As of late, I suddenly have contracted a Disney Song obsession - possibly akin to a disease. Haha, but just following the trend of some of my friends, although I loved Disney songs before anyways.
Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, all other Disney movies (good stuff!) You wouldn't believe how many people will gather for a Disney movie marathon party (once they get over the whole "No man, I'm way too cool and grown up for Disney movies, HA)..... ridiculous. Was left cleaning my house with a few friends for hours.
