Locked crate weekend

Ok we all heard the idea of opening locks for gold. The consensus is it is a bad idea. It will drive down prices because of over saturation of items. Well imo that is already the case. So I'd like to suggest before sts adds new items to crates or before the next level cap or expansion they have a weekend event to open locks with gold. It would be a great gold sink and take a lot of locks out of the market. As it is prices are in the dumps already so what would it hurt now?

Yes I did contradict myself and yes it will take some mm one from sts. However it would free up alot of hoarded locks and take alot of gold out of the economy, not just transfer from one player to another. Poof millions of gold gone. And the items will be junk after new items are introduced anyways so it wouldn't hurt very much. Keeping it a weekend event would limit how much it hurts sts. It would be a show of good faith on their part to their devoted players and tremendously help the economy
