According to that pic a troll is anyone who posts anything that in a way or another is contrary to what majority in a happy forum community thinks. Or somehow disturbs the decisions the community takes together.

Obee thats bs imo. :)

Anyone is welcome to state their opinion even if it isn't the most popular one. However, state it respectfully and carefully because words can bring out the sensitivity in people. Is that a bad thing? No. Homosaphiens are a species of communication unlike others. That being said, sensitivity and preservation of ego is the root cause of flame wars on forums.

A troll is someone who necros a useless thread and says the topic drew his attention. When someone trolls you feel stupidity and nonsense.

Sarcastic people are different from trolls. You can be a ego demolisher while still being constructive, sarcasm and irony hurt egos but they are also the fastest ways to breach defences and get to the heart of who you are discussing with. If who you are talkin to understands your point of view or not you will notice right after you hurt his ego.

A troll is simply a troll and it lives under a bridge.

And honestly we should leave our egos on our shelves before coming here one thing is directly insulting another person and i condemn that another is being ironic.

Kinda ironic that people will and are trolling, just to specify what trolling is.

As a part time troll i can tell that I many times try to troll a thread but the topic is so boring that its impossible to troll actually. My smart and hilarious reply will just turn into very stupid and wierd in my eyes while im typing it and i will just delete all of it and go back to read other threads.

Some forumers like Zeus make very serious threads usually and thats why they are very hard to troll. If i happen to make a good troll to it, Zeus has nasty reply that will turn it upside down and against me.

But thanks god world is full of dumb/newbie sts players who post hilarious and wierd threads wich are easy to troll. But if its too easy to troll its again boring.
So best thread to troll is just regular posts about something very random. And a good troll is the type of troll that only some people will actually spot it as a troll and rest just start arguing about my reply. It needs to have some challenge.

Nowdays im not really trolling anymore, I moved it all to youtube. Best videos to troll are those "samsung vs apple" or any "thing versus thing" type video that shares opinions a lot. My record is 85 replys to a troll comment and still counting. And I didnt throw single comment to make more people join, they come themselves and fight against eachother and im just upvoting some smart comments there ;)

And for that guy who asked why some people troll:
Its fun. And its very good hobby to have when you have nothing else to do or you are running out of comment notifications.
I am currently getting 5-20 google+ notifications every day and im never bored

Here are our thoughts on trolling:

Let me be clear here: The forums are our work place, and we need to be able to come here and get up-to-the-second crystal clear information on the games.

That being said, we think the community at large has a wonderful sense of humor, and we love it!

What is not cool is when trolling disrupts or derails conversations, or causes undue drama.

And if you troll us we are definitely not cool with it, and the consequences usually extend as far as our reach, which is to say in game.

So keep it light, keep it fun, and have a good time! In short, just be cool to each other and we're fine with it.

Peace,

- g
