Well anyways, right now like nothing in the game is worth farming. Item prices are really really low because of the new dungeon, new skill and new item class coming out in a few days. I would just farm plasma pyramid for gold right now, since everything is so low due to expectations of update.

Ya plasma pyramid, stop at the boss, you make 3-3.5k per run or ao1 map 5 the great pyramid. You get 2-2.7k per run. Just remake.

Also farm your pots on that run (Plasma). Stopping before the Djinn I get 25 each (on my mage), make a quick stop to stash them and rm.

Alternately, spend your time gambling - green ice or vyxx helms... I've sunk plenty of time into these and would be rich if I'd stuck to plasma. But you gotta have a little variety sometimes.

There's no get rich quick option in this game. Most of the time it takes time and/or luck to make money. The less you play the game, the more difficult it is to get gold.

If you're going for efficiency, don't drop all your pots in your stash so you can get them as drops on a run. The amount of time you'd otherwise be spending farming gold easily outweighs what you'd be making by going to town drop off potions. The 25 potions only cost like 375 gold from the vendor assuming you buy 100 at a time.

Well that isn't completely true. I made 1.5 mil in a day without even getting one good drop :). Care to guess how?

Nope, I didn't get one good drop :). What I did was I used the 100k I had back in a02, and bought a ryloxx blaster for 100k, resold it for 700k, and continued merchanting blasters during that day and made a bunch of cash :). I was one of the richest players in PL for a while :). But you probably wouldn't have liked me back then... I was a jerk, selfish, and inconsiderate. Idk if I still am though... That's for the community to judge :p

Well cornering the market is one way to do it. I've been tempted but worried that people will catch on and drive the price back down by either farming the item nonstop or selling it all at once if they have it stashed. It'll be easy to make gold the first several hours after the expansion since you can just sell pinks and ridiculous prices and people will actually buy them.

By the time you get to lvl 50, if you do it legitly, you should have around 650k...

well you could make a lvl 10 twink account and farm dark forest 1 for the rarest armor in the game ;). No Guarantee's, but if you get the drop, you'll be a instant 10+ millionaire.
