October Producer's Letter

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the October 2014 edition of the Arcane Legend's Producer Letter. Wow, can you believe that it is already October? Time certainly flies when you are having fun!

As we roll into the 4th quarter of 2014, our focus is dominated by two big seasonal events: Halloween and Winter.

Halloween:
We have a fun Halloween romp planned for 2014. There is a long list of goodies, including: awesome new bosses, spooky new areas, great new costumes and some old favorites from 2013, including Grimm, making their return. Here are a few screenshots of some of the vanities that will be available for event tokens to whet your appetite:

Watch for more teasers, details and images over the coming days. You can expect Halloween to start in the latter half of October.

Winter:
We already have new assets being created in preparation for the Winter 2014 event. While I don't have any images to show, we are planning for another great event to roll out mid December. You can expect to hear more about Winter in the November and December Producer’s Letters.

Free Platinum Offers:
We have a new client with an alternate Free Platinum Offer Provider, called Fyber, in the Apple approval process right now. We have actually been using Fyber for a little while now for Free Platinum Offers in Battle Command! We look forward to Fyber Free Platinum Offers going live soon.

Quality of Life Updates:
Besides our plans to bring you new content, we are constantly looking at ways to improve the game. In a new client version scheduled for release in October we have a number of improvements coming, including:

• Guild Log: Records of who came and went to help players better manage their guild.
• PvP Chat Improvements: Chat in PvP zones will automatically go to your team. You will still be able to chat to everyone and if you do, the chat will be clearly labeled with what team you are on
• Tradeable Respecs: You will be able to purchase respecs from the store and go on to trade or gift them with other players for gold. This will allow anyone to get their hands on a respec.
We really appreciate the efforts that you go through to report issues and express your desires to us. It is why we maintain such an active message forum and presence on our social media channels.

Planar Tombs:
I also mentioned a new Planar Tombs adventure in last month’s Producer Letter. (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?173469-September-Producer-Letter-Planar-Update-amp-Next-Client) The intent of the Planar Tombs is to add additional end game elite content that is outside of events. This content will feature an awesome new Mythic Pendant and the quest to obtain it. The quest is rather lengthy and requires collecting items from Elite Tindirin, Planar Arena and Planar Tombs areas. To accommodate everything we have in work, the Planar Tombs content go live target has moved to November, following Halloween.

I don’t take lightly moving content release dates. I want to give our team the best chance to deliver you awesome new content. An outstanding Halloween event, Fyber Free Platinum Offers and the coming new client version are worth the wait.

Wow, this is epic! Although, I have to say that the rogue vanities actually seem to have turned out the least tasteful, in my opinion, which is pretty shocking! Nevertheless, excited for everything to come!

The Rogue vanity has a nifty set of "pumpkin vine" hair, that looks nice with the animations.

Also, the Sorc gargoyle set has a cool set of wings, that didn't really show with the background.

Are they going to be like Nekro and Arcane Rings in that they will require one uber difficult element that is going to be its 100m item or are the elements evenly distributed in order to not have one specific base item. Also will any/all of the elements be tradeable?

Jmo The plat value is holding great right now which may mean these vanities keep their value. If price of vanity drops below ankh kits price people will buy kits and sell rather than buy loads of tokens and overflow market with vanities.

To be clear, 2013 vanities will return as 2014 versions in different color sets. Maybe Remiem will show those off before the event turns on. I chose not to show them since well, you've already seen those - although the new color variations are pretty nifty and keep the 2013 ones unique.

They are human, and are thoughtful that are aware of the possible effects of imbalancements to the game for making new character. However, in case you dont know yet, they may be revamping the skill system. All other things you "want" is said to be coming already in the first post by Samhayne, but btw new features like maps, mobs, bosses arent easy to make like just drawing a brand new one and put them in daily. You have to draw like hundreds of them pictures, then set animations, implement with codes etc.
About the elite based [whatever that comes], thats a good thing. We already had enough OP items only available in lockeds (in theory its available in elite chests too but thats just not what happens regularly).

Just putting it out there, PL will probably never receive any of the exciting updates. AL generates far more money than all of STG's games altogether and logically, they would keep milking the cow until the players get bored which probably won't happen considering the fact that STG is implementing new stuff monthly.

Not to be mean or something, but both the rogue sets are horrible...
But, all the other sets for the other classes are some of the best i have seen yet!
And, after rogues got their own vanity in elondria, i guess that it is fair enough that we get a undead set that doesnt show that the rogue is undead, and another pumpkin -.- still pump(kin)ed! (See what i did there?)

STS take aslong as you want to drop this event, long events make everything lose value. Maybe even create some twink weapon's with cool proc's, or wait until christmas, long as we get new weapons. "Ready to retire my devour bow" New pets is ok..long as it isnt to crazy like a dovabear or nekro. <_< My only suggestion is to take all the time you need to make this right.

Would the hellish gear be same like a year ago in stats or will there be some items thats gonna be better or buffed? Bcs no single hellish item was good enough in twink. Tarlok event gear eated every hellish gear..
We used tarlok gear more as 6 months.. Hellish didnt even survive 2 months..

I would like to have some variation in my gear items. example

dev bow/ druid set / hellish ring / tarlok amulet

instead of using every single item of 1 event. like tarlok event was.. :/

The Zombie one are a cheap version of those undead rogue from Dead City ( Those rogues looks ugly too), and the pupkim vanity ... Is the worst event's vanity that I saw in the entire game, do you STS has been thinking... why the Jack's Vanity Helms are so cheap even now?

Witch vanity is for a Way much better, I like zombies but reclicle Outfits from Dead City isn't what I can call originaly, Mage's gargole is pretty good and War's minotaur looks decent ..

It must be a TROPHY pet this event also. I've seen so many people literally crying " sns is so op. nerf " . Let them get the a sns this event. With a halloween design or so.

You can't have everything in the game. I want arcane ring, i want all rogue vanities , i want all rogue collections. But I know i can't have everything at the end of the day.

I can't wait for the Halloween event. I know exactly what I have to do to earn golds.

I'm expecting from the Halloween event to have same format as Ursoth event or even better.

I can offer a little tip for the event runners if is going to be any trophy pet. If you have time and golds to run portals . Don't run with a rogue toon.
