Alrightieee so I finally sold my iPad Mini, and am looking for an Android tablet because I'd rather have one OS rather than two different ones, and I hate iPhones. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 atm, and was just going to go with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3/4, but I don't know which to get. Is there really that big of a difference? I know it'd be nice to have the "newest" tablet, but it's not really a huge deal to me. Is there enough power in a Tab 3 to play Pocket Legends and Order and Chaos efficiently? If so, I'll just go for the Tab 3 and save $50, but if not, then please someone tell me if it's more worth it to get the Tab 4. Thanks :D

Answer to this question is yes. However, I'd still opt for the 4. Better display, dual to quad, Adreno 305 to vivante. For that little of money, it's always better to try and make yourself more future proof. Never know what you're gonna wanna do later.

Thanks ^.^ I figured I'd better go for it anyways, at Bestbuy right now

I bought the galaxy tab 3 and PL ran horribly and kept crashing so I returned it and replaced it with a Nexus 7 which works very well with PL.

The thing is, because there are a vast amount of devices that run Android - the OS cannot support them all efficiently. Some cases where this is evident is in resolution scaling. Often times, the resolution that comes with the tablet is not the resolution that you will be using when opening an application. Thus, there is fragmentation.

So, I would save the dough on either and grab an iPad Mini 2 or better yet, an iPhone 6 Plus. I have one and honestly, the rumors about bending and whatever other various rumors I've heard are nonexistent in my case. It's probably the best phone I've owned!

Additionally, Android is not optimized to handle these new GPUs that manufacturer's throw at them. So, what you're really buying is a spec sheet with a bunch of cool stuff that is rendered useless due to lack of software optimization.

I don't mean to be a fanboy for Apple or for Android because I own devices from both operating systems, but if you're going for games...it's generally best to pick an Apple device.

If you must pick an Android device, go with the Nvidia Shield Tablet. It is by far the best device you can get for gaming spec-wise.

The price @.@ All I had was the money from my iPad for another tablet :P Or I definitely would have. I did see it, I'm just 120 dollars short D:

Again I totally agree with this guy. ^
Samsung tab4 runs very heavy software on mid end hardware which causes some lag in UI and many games doesnt work properly, so actually the only samsung tablet that actually works perfectly fine is the Galaxy Tab S OR Note tablets.

In general best Android tablets are Nexus tablets and Nvidia tablet currently.

In gaming iPads work fine in general but sometimes Android games have option to choose better graphics and they provide some more features because Android is again linux and linux is open source OS which allows developers to do more stuff more easily
