invitations to games- suggestions for developers

why are they so big? even conversations within the game I'm playing are small. why not put them on the side, or something. why not make it so by touching the invite, you can go there?

It would be nice to be able to turn the whole thing on or off with a switch. :) No joining, no invites...maybe a "No Group" setting or Quiet Mode or something. Not forever, mind you...just a toggle switch.
