Bit what I meant was let's say you already got 5 mil on that char and go to collect your 10 mil what happens?
1 there is an error message
2 you only get 5 mil the rest vanishes
3 the whole 10 mil go lost
I always made sure to have enough room because I feared it was variant 3 ;) but that must have happened to someone...

It says that you can't have this much gold and you can just stash gold and come back.

Also, there is a random glitch sometimes w/ trades that can cause gold to be lost, and comically leaves some people with a negative gold balance.

Ah thanks! I seem to have mixed up those two and thought you'd lose gold if you didn't empty your pockets before ;)
