Omg has anyone seen this? Comes out tomorrow. Looks like Gameloft is steppig up their game. If it gets good reviews and is bug-free, this may be one I'd be willing to pay full-price for (usually wait for gameloft games to be a buck).

They did such a great job with the Avatar horse-like creatures -- I'm glad they've brought back mounts in what looks like an awesome game.

Lol Ricci it's not multiplayer, so it wouldn't last me as long as an mmo. And I have so many unfinished gameloft games on my phone. But it still looks awesome. And I need a new game to play on the train when I have no Internet ;)

Yeah I saw that. For some reason everyone is freaking out about the in-app purchase. I dunno why. I like the idea of being able to play first before I pay.

I'll likely download it tonight. I managed to send my corrupted DD file to a dev, hoping he can fix it. So not touching my restore yet. Just sitting tight and waiting. This game can keep me busy till then.

No clue. Been asking on facebook but no one takes a breath from their ranting to tell me lol. I asked if it costs more than their other games and the most I got out of them was "no."

So could be anywhere from 5.99 to 9.99. Most of their games start out at 5.99 or 6.99 till they go one sale.

Plays like a Zelda game, which is good since I'm a huge Zelda fan. The free content is pretty short, but I enjoyed it. With 10 hours of play time, I think 6.99 is a small price to pay. Purchasing it now

I'm finding the game to be pretty relaxing. I think HoS2 was pretty challenging at points, maybe they wanted this to be a more casual game.
I don't mind, I'm enjoying riding my horse and taking in the scenery lol.

Also a great game. I didn't finish it yet, tho lol. Got stuck by a laser-shooting sphinx and forgot to go back and finish.
You get to ride minotaurs, bulls, Pegasus.

Keep an eye on their stuff -- like them on facebook. They have sales, usually around holidays, where many games are temporarily 99 cents. I got most of my games for that price. The only Gameloft games I paid full-proce for was dungeon hunter and this one.

Other notable one's are Avatar, Iron Man 2, Assassin's Creed, Spiderman (even though I'm stuck pretty early in the game. Sigh). But try to get them on sale. Can't really go wrong for a buck ;)

Omg Max give me some tips for the giant beetle. He just wiped the floor with me. I didn't even get one bomb to hit him. I missed, while he threw me to the ground. What do I do? The camera just keeps following me running for the bomb and I can't see where he is.

You can do the shield roll while holding the bomb, it took for him to kill me for me to figure it out. When you grab the bomb wait for him to pounce for you to dodge it then look up and throw it at his arse. Then he'll fall then you slice at it with the sword. I'm at the second dungeon now :p

Red, I figured out the whole bomb then slash his butt thing. But if I'm still slashing when he gets up, I take a HUGE hit. I guess I need to figure out the timing. Maybe only do a couple of slashes before running. I'll try the rolling thing -- it's faster than running, right?

Actually I'm glad for such a nice challenge so early in the game. It feels hard, but not impossible. I wouldn't want to be able to defeat the boss on the first try.
Gameloft has had some impressive boss battles. The only one so far that truly pisses me off is Spiderman's Rhino -- he's early on in the game, and I just can't get him to charge at a wall. So I gave up on that game. Until I feel especially masochistic.

Nope, no skill points. No lvling up. You just have to progress through the game and get the right weapons to unlock new dungeons. It's comparable to Zelda. There are even puzzles where you have to push crates onto things.

If you can find HoS2 for cheap, it's the closest comparison I can make to this game on an iDevice.

It's true, they rarely fix/update any games.
But so far, this game is awesome.
Gameloft is getting better. Yes, their support sucks, but their releases are getting better and better.
This is quite an impressive game. I can't imagine what they could do if they got their hands on the Unreal engine.

Yea les rolling is a lot faster. In sections that you can't ride a horse like the dungeons it's my regular way of getting around lol. Wait till you get to the second dungeon -__- I'm like 40 minutes into it already

I'm still not up to the second boss, the puzzles have me stuck a little still. There's this one main puzzle that you have to solve as you go through the dungeon with beams of light and mirrors. Huge pain

Ok I'm getting tired of looking at this guy.
Even with rolling, it's not working. I get a bomb, but even if my char is facing him, I throw the bomb in the direction the camera's facing. So unless he's in MY sight, I can't throw it at him. But to see him, I have to stop and turn the camera. At which point he attacks me.

That may be so, but Aralon costs 10 bucks and doesn't have a free version to try. I will not spend 10 bucks on a game before trying it. The only game I shelled out 7 bucks for right away was Infinity Blade, bc I was eagerly waiting for it and was going to buy it no matter what.

I'm not a big fan of turn-based battle, so doubt I'll buy EL -- but worth trying out for free :)

I am going to download boat to try them out but trust.. if u played raven sword (which sucked majorly), aralon was made by the same company but way better story, graphics and basically everything, you can get dragons and stuff its sick I beat it though lvl 48 rogue and was making a mage on there and saved over it lmao so pissed.. and i used to be jailbroken.. and get all apps for free but now i buy all of them cause I unjailbroke.. i dunno why and I have 124 payed apps lol and i have spent i dunno 150 on app store.. pluse pl like 200 im soo stupid I think i will jb soon and im getting an iphone so i will defs jb..

I think DH1 was the first game I bought on my iPhone, and I loved it so much I played through it with at least 2 diff chars, and at least started on the third. Then I think I got distracted by bigger and better things than playing the same game over and over lol.

Mmmk fair enough, if thats the case then not yet. Still very buggy. I'll at least wait for the next update (new class and better iPad GUI apparently), and hopefully some bug fixes. Will let you know!

yeah that is rue and elly to get the wolf you have to do what that guy says at that town i forget the first little town u go to to get the grey horse some guy there gives you a quest to go kill the sisters of something(some witch clan) and there are three bosses (or there leaders in a cave) and from one of them you get this insane sword that you get only at the end again defeating a red dragon, and then you get the wolf mount deed..

im just wandering where do you get the bird mount deed dunno where to go.. been to the snow mountain pass but cant find the bird place

Ah, will try that.

For the bird mount, I don't think its a quest, just like the drake mount. Its just an egg lying in a nest somewhere in the start of the snowy map. :)

Ugh Elly I see what you mean about the timer for Eternal legacy. I dunno why they put that in, since you're just waiting for nothing. Makes it boring.

Gah, I need help on the light beams/ mirror puzzle. I opened the first door, but now the furthest I can go is shoot the beam up to the mirrors on the ceiling, but they go nowhere... Is there like a way you can get up there and change the direction?

I knew it! On the right side of the room (under or next to the area under the ledge with the blue block on it, move that crate on to one of those green squares (I said **** the riddle and just dragged the crate on EVERY singleeee square -.- haha)

Lol! I suck so bad, I tried moving the blue statue from where the riddle was. From where I was I thought I could reach the blue square. And I misread the riddle, so I pushed the block on all the blue squares.

Anyways, now I'm in the main room trying to open the main door. Who knew we could get so much playtime out of this puzzle? It's a great game, my only complaint is that the camera angles are annoying at times.

There's some whip-like weapon at some point in the game, so could be that too. It is a bit of a tease to put those items just out of our reach ;)

I didn't finish the game yet so I don't have the spear lol. But the meteor crown got me through many levels in the arena -- you can run, jump and fire and they don't touch you.

I'm in the mirror dungeon. Got the first door open, moved that fist onto the fist symbol. Nothing else I can do. I plHed with all the mirrors, tried to get them to direct the laser at a different statue, but nothing works. What am I missing????

You have to get up to the ceiling if you haven't done so already. I posted a how-to a few pages back. After that you'll have to figure it out on your own but trust me it's pretty easy. Just follow the hints posted here (RR said something bout the riddle puzzle, you'll find out when the second door opens). The last and main door is by far the trickiest.

I moved the statue over the icon, but it did nothing and I can't find anywhere to go. And I can't move the statue anymore.

Uhm... I believe there are alot of other statues like that. Another two at least. Did you break the ice blocking the rooms with your fist?

Yes I broke all ice that led to the three rooms. But the other statues are not reachable. This was the only one that let me move it. And then Notjing happened when I did. Very anticlimactic.

So how did you get to the ceiling????

You use your fist to move the unreachable statues. Click on them while having your fist equipped. It will lock on to the statue and another icon will appear (beside the attack icon) with that you can move it.

I got to the ceiling exactly how I said lol.

Wow... 3pm for me. At one point you can stop going back and forth because there will be blue portals at the top and bottom of the room, just use them to teleport.

A few pages back RR posted a solution. Push the wooden block to the green square (the one directly below the ledge). Then just push the statue to the one blue square on top and get the yellow gem. You're done!

It's not a matter of changing. I have an otterbox, so when this happens, I have to take everything off, clean it out and make sure nothing's still on there when I put it back on. Usually takes me like 3 or 4 tries lol.

It is bulky, but I've dropped it a few times and nothing happens. It's got a hard case with silicone over it, and of course the screen protector.
When I take my phone out to get rid of dust, it still looks new :)

Nice, mine does too. I'm using a candyshell lol. The only thing is I used to have a speck fitted case, and those are incredibly hard to open. It's a two piece front and back cover so I had to pry it open from the left side. After a few times I checked my phone again and it had scratches from the thing I used to pry the case open :(

Yeah mine also has two pieces that clamp together, and then the silicone goes over that. But I never use tools to open it -- I'd be too afraid too. And it's not really needed for mine.
My issue is that I have a very hairy cat -- so opening the case up could create more dust than it's removing lol.

Omfg how did you beat the ice boss? Every time he freezes the mirrors, he turns them. So basically I can never progress bc all I'm doing is unfreezing and re-rotating the same mirrors I've already rotated. Is there something I'm missing?

Also, at one point I'm pretty sure the laser disappeared completely -- wasn't coming out of the statue. I must be missing some huge part of the puzzle.

Red, I'd help you, but it's really not the type of thing you can write a walkthrough for lol. I also don't remember what I did. Just try to go backwards -- face the point that you need to reach (the statue by the door) and look at the path that leads to it. That's how I did it.

As for the ice boss, there are mirrors and you do have to adjust them while he tries to kill you lol. It's not easy. I got a few hits at him but gave up bc I wad on my last life. I'll try again tomorrow -- not focused enough right now.

No les I don't think you will be able to open the chest afterwards. After the boss dies you have to go through a portal and end up back in the second town. Maybe the entrance is still openthough so you can go back for it.

Anyways, you need quick fingers for the ice boss. I only got it on my third try, and I had to use potions. Basically you use knuckle to break all the ice on every mirror, switching back to sword after you're done with each one so you can roll to the next one. Try switching when you're rolling lol. After that, just adjust mirrors one by one starting from the one nearest to the statue. Should be pretty easy, when the light manages to hit the boss (should be the second mirror the first time, then you have to start using the other mirrors the next time) he will fall to the ground. Then just run up and attack but run away after he starts growling! He has an aoe attack he always uses after he recovers from the light beam.

As for the boss, I prefer to stay with the fist, since he keeps refreezing the mirrors. So I was just running around, unfreezing them, adjusting mirrors. And I attacked him with the fist. I don't like having to switch weapons in the jewt of battle.
I quit when the ceiling mirrors popped up and I was on my last life.

As for potions, I don't want to use much -- I wasted a few on that room with tons of archers, bc I didn't realize I bad three lives lol.

To kill him you must switch weapons, because without rolling you will never dodge his attacks. Its easy you just have to be quick while changing Weapons.

Good question. Wish I could answer. Their focus should have been on the crashes and corruptions of save data. And they should have never released the update without being absolutely sure the save data wouldn't be lost.

I think they rushed out the game after only a few days of testing. Not smart. Also, Apple probably didn't catch it bc I'm guessing they weren't updating so much as testing the game with new characters.

I think another cause might be because the players were rushing the devs too much and they felt they had to release it asap since they screwed up on v2 and v3. But they should have done more testing to prevent another screw up. Apple probably created a new character and played from scratch so they didn't know about it. Well assuming the save data wipe was unintentional that is. I read about the hacking prevention conspiracy on forums ;)

It will be interesting to see what Trendy's next move will be...

But I see no bombs, and I have no other way to break those rocks. I also passed by a room with 4 chests and some floating objects I couldn't reach. So does that mean I can go back for them after defeating the boss (at which point I'll get the Falcon, I assume)?

Oh yeah I remember I missed out that chest that was blocked by rocks. You don't get the falcon wing straight after the boss, you have to go back to the talking tree. That's all I remember sorry, but you should be able to redo the dungeon.

First off, four cheats in that room are unreachable at that point -- I believe you can go back for them later when you havethe boomerang. But to get through that room, hit the switches (the gear spinning things). They raise and lower different platforms. Just jump around to the diff platforms, hitting the gears until the right ones rise up to allow you to get to the others side.

Don't give up! It is tricky, but it's oh so satisfying when you finally figure it out.
The only thing is, I wish they would have provided a full-picture view of the whole room if we wanted. Like zoom out allll the way. Bc it can be tricky to find the right spot that allows you to see which mirrors can match up with others.

Then you have to set up the mirrors to open the next door. I can't really help you with the mirrors -- it's not something you can walk a person through. Just try to follow the path backwards from the statue by the door that needs opening and try to figure out which mirrors are needed for it to happens.
It's not easy, and you should only do it when you have the time and patience. But it feels pretty great when it finally works.
Also, there's going to be another door to open after that, so be prepared for an even harder mirror puzzle. It is very doable, though. And I actually found it relaxing, since you don't have to deal with any enemies while working on it. The boss, on the other hand, stresses me out too much.

If you don't have the yellow gem yet, you have access to enough mirrors to open the next door. The yellow gem unlocks other mirrors that are needed to open the final door.
So if you just put the green stone in, you have enough to progress.

You need to throw a bomb at him, then he'll drop to the ground. At the point start slicing his butt (only his butt will work). But be careful bc I you're standing there still when he gets up, you'll take a big hit.
Keep doing that till he's dead. It may take some practice getting the camera on your side.

I'm stuck on the last part of the mirrors. Can't seem to line them up right ami missing something obvious ? This is frustrating !!!! I want to get to the ice boss and get out ! Starting to feel claustaphoebic!

Lol I got stuck on the ice boss and haven't been back to play yet. I need to be really focused and determined to beat that thing.

As for the mirrors, if you already got both the green and yellow crystals installed, just keep playing with the mirrors. Try to walk backwards from the statue that needs to be hit by the laser and see what can make it happen. It's doable, but takes time and patience.

I finally went back and beat the ice boss (with the aid of some potions), but I didn't getthe boomerang from him. Was I supposed to?
And it's now telling me to go back to Dentoras -- no idea who or where that is. Any help?

Lol I spent that long on some HoS2 bosses. Had to read a walkthrough to figure some of them out.

SO is kinda easy between the bosses. So I guess the bosses extend the playtime ;)

I'm not sure there is a walkthrough for the mirrors. I just kept messing with them till I figured it out. A walkthrough would have to have photos, I guess. But just try to walk backwards from the door that needs opening and work it out that way.

Yeah, I'm surprised it went on sale so quickly. But I'm sure they had a reason for doing so. (I know they got off to a rough start bc of the IAP.) Normally I'd be annoyed but I wouldn't have wanted to wait to play. I've gotten almost all my Gameloft games on sale for 99 cents, so I don't mind that they got the full price from me for such an awesome game.

Now if only I could figure out how to progress. (If it turns out to be a bug, I'll be singing a different tune!)


Oh and Eternal Legacy is also on sale, but I didn't like the free version, so not bothering. It does have nice graphics, but the gameplay was not my style.

Hey les, im at the firepitch... But im kinda stuck.
I have to burn 9 wifes but i cant figure out in what order it has to be done...

Ps i dont get how you could die at any boss up to this point... They were all pretty easy... And i just got like a second health bar just now.. Soo i did all bosses with 1 lifebar.

I figured out the 9 flames fairly easily. I dont know exactly how I did it, though -- sorry! Just use the falcon to pass the fire around.

Sounds like you're having sn easier time overall than I did. I've died a few times from some bosses -- mainly the ice boss. I found the Firepitch boss to be a bit too easy, though, once I knew what I had to do. He went down really fast compared to the others.

I'm almost done with the game. I still have the final boss ahead.
I'm seriously in love with this game. It has given me so many hours of entertainment. And I love how you can get tips and hints for the puzzles but you HAVE to do them on your own. No walkthrough can really help you through them. Ie. Knowing what needs to be done is not enough. And while all the puzzles are challenging, none are impossible (and this coming from someone who has given up on a game for lesser challenges).


Gameloft has really outdone themselves with this one. I hope they plan to have a sequel.
