What build for lvl10 PvE? what about PvP?

Thinking of making my first twink, and i'm undecided at the moment. What class and build do you think is best for pve? How bout for pvp? At first glance, i thought a bear would be best due to it's big hp advantage. But then, mages have heal and both mage and archer have range. So confused. Thanks

Level 10 is easy. Just do it. Then do it again. And again. etc :P

At level 10, mage's heal doesn't do very much, unless you want to use your skill points to max it out (you don't). Mage is good in PvE but not so in PvP. Anyways don't bother level 10 PvPing because you'll likely meet with higher level noobs who think they're god unless of course you're having a private match with your friend.

Yes, I think the bear is pretty good in both. I have a dexbear, and with the snowball launcher I can do a self-combo (freeze and stomp = shatter). Can't say much about pure str though.

I haven't played bird at all yet but I don't think it is very good looking at the skills available at level 10.

I made a dex bear at first, snowball launcher. But I respec'd it to an int/str bear. Str armours, but fire staff :D

I'm trying to look for a level 10 peppermint staff, does it exist?

Yeah, only the ones you see in cs now are tradable. The cool looking stuff like snowman bow, peppermint hammer, present shield are all untradable :/

Range always has the advantage, even just a little.

Bear slashes are still annoying since they cast even to thin air. They need to do something about that IMO.

Dex bears are beast. Max Rage/stomp and throw a point in sms. Snowball launcher for weapon and it's a wrap.

Max rage, at level 10 that's all you have enough skill points for. Snowball launcher as wep so you can self combo (freeze then stomp). This way you don't need to respec for anything, and when you're raged your crits are AWESOME.

Look, at level one vengeful slash and stomp both have 4m range while crippling slash has 3m range. So in order to use stomp you would have to be pretty close to the target as well.

If you have stomp at level 3, range is 8m but that's all you got... Which one do you choose, range or damage?

I doubt stomp alone is enough to kill an enemy even while raged. This way you can just run up to them, slash, stomp and run plus have a chance of freezing them.

I think formora has me convinced though, it's better to have 1 each of stomp, vengeful and crippling compared to haing 3 stomp.

Though there is that 1 poibt in taunt that i never use.

Hmm about taunt, the dodge buff is alright I guess but I don't really notice much difference. Take it out if you want, and add it in stomp. Not necessary though.

Is there much difference between the green, purple and pink snowball lanuchers? I notice a couple points damage and some better stats. Does that make enough difference in pvp to be worth it? The price difference is pretty substantial.

Doh, I mean vengeful slash. It's much much much much much more beneficial to take a point out of stomp and put one in the slash. It can make or break your duel.

At lvl 10, I'd like to see a dex mage do anything to my lvl 10 bear. RAGE + snowball launcher = you are dead faster than you can heal and/or kill me.

not really. if you think that, you must have maxed out rage, and left your other skills to die. Then again, you are BeardedBear, so it might just be you.

I do have 5 points in rage, if that's a wrong move, well you need some more PVP bear knowledge. Anyway, don't forget a mage's base HP is garbage, and vs a bear with a launcher, chances are you won't be able to run too much between stunning and getting frozen.

As far as leaving "other skills to die", it would be foolish to not max rage on a ranged twink bear, or any bear for that matter.

I'm up for a friendly duel, add loadedforbear when you are on.

So I've played some pvp now, and it is fun, but also frustrating. I'm kind of curious why people choose level 10 for this. I understand that you get some equipment at that level, but I seem to find I'm always up against levels up through 19 and it's pretty sad. When we have closer ranges, it is fun.

I started to level on up, but shut down xp gain again right before 11 (hard to undo xp, lol). I'm just on the fence -- would 15 be more fun? Then at least I'd maybe stand a chance against the 19s...

I think this thread is referring pretty much to the wave of extreme lvl 10 pink farming. Where you can't be over level 10 to succede... Thats why its all about lvl 10. But when pvping lvl 15 is probably a better choice even though you are between the level 10s, too low to be challenging and the level 19-20s wich are often very hard to beat...
