What is Necro-nom-nomicon? what can you do with it?

it's like the ward from the last event. it gives you a little advantage when you are in the arena. something like 40% more damage. i've got one and i moved it from one toon to another. honestly I don't see a big difference between having it or not having it.
the ward was more noticeable. you were stuck (rooted) or not.
That extra 40% damage increase is a lot at end game (~500 damage x 1.4 = ~700 damage) compared to lets say those with 50 damage (~50 damage x 1.4 = ~70 damage). And that's not to mention whether or not it stacks with pet buffs/skill buffs.
This could be why lower levels are struggling a bit more due to the possible fact that the enemies aren't scaling properly. If that extra 20 damage isnt hitting as hard as the extra 200 damage, then either the end-game enemies are too weak (prob not the case), or the low-level enemies are too strong.
It's possible that level scaling comes into the equation, especially at non-cap levels. PuG levels tend to be all over the place, so a lvl 12 wont hit nearly as hard as a lvl 14 or 15 in the same party. A lot of the difficulty could be in the way that the enemies match the highest level in the party.

Yep, don't feel like I have additional damage of 40%, not even felt like 10%.

Bane items are usable only for the events, but will stay in your possession and may be reusable if the same event comes again.
