Level 50 PvP

I am thinking of packing up my bags and leaving l35 pvp, and moving to 50. does anyone have any idea how active level 50 pvp is? and should I level to 51 and risk getting farmed by 56's?

any and all input is appreciated, and if you could link any l50 mage guides you know I would be incredibly thankful. :3

It's pretty dead. 15, 35, 56, and endgame seem to be the most active levels right now.
