It takes x amount of health from an enemy and give you the amount it steals.

Not really, the name just implies it drains the enemies health, it doesn't say it delivers it to the user.

Anyways, yes, drain life heals the user (by "leeching" the enemies health) So Drain Life damage - Armor = The amount the user gets as a heal.

Drain:
flow off gradually; "The rain water drains into this big vat"
emptying something accomplished by allowing liquid to run out of it
deplete of resources; "The exercise class drains me of energy"

The definition of drain does not say it leads to anywhere specific. So it isn't so self explanatory;) Not to mention if the guy doesn't have an enchantress, or even if he does and never noticed it, how would he know? Also, if drain has to lead somewhere, why doesn't firestorms damage lead somewhere? Or frostbite?;)

Just to be clear in a lot of MMORGS a drain life spell is an armor ignoring spell and not necessarily a vampire like spell where the life is given to the drainer.

Etc.

I think drain life is actually very interesting...

More interesting if we could 'heal' the undead for damage!

That would be one sweet and powerful AoE combo; especially in a group setting.

Drain life still does damage even if your full health just to add on.
