Ok so what exactly is this grind to lvl 56 that everyone is taking about? The balefort sewers cap is 55...

The experience assigned to lv 55 (83,840 exp) is specifically "experience needed to the next level."

Tl;dr : Level 50-55 will be a few thousand exp each but 56 will be 10x that. You get a crown for your efforts.

Maple story is too hardcore for me.. I remember like 5 years back I couldn't even get past level 35 lol.

That's kind of the point. For those really determined, they'll be able to do it, and be a level ahead of the general population. Then, when the next expansion comes out, they'll briefly have a leg up on the pack (who will then get to level to 56 at a normal rate) to get to 60 first. At which point, they'll be able to grind their way to 61 in the same fashion.

One Question: So if I level up to 56 and accumulate the 80,000 + experience, what happens when the new level increase comes out after that?

Do I lose all of the experience I earned and drop back down to the normal amount? Or does it count towards the next level? I assume we will lose it all before the next increase so we are not automatically leveled to 60 when the next increase happens??

Yes im certain when the next campaign after BS comes out the xp will got down. And the new cap will be 61.

But heck, if thiers anyways you can show your elite- get to 56.

full exp from red monsters is 1 right? full exp with party is 1.4 right? 1.4 x 2.5 (power lvl elixir) = 3.5 exp. So each round will be about 400-750 exp. Thats about 200 runs or so, we did about that with cyber.

I don't know, I only did a week of intensive farming VL at the end of december, then I started pvp, then I didn't go on my chars much anymore. If I had known though, I'd probably have worked harder and most probably gotten it by now. On the other hand, I did cyber on my bird so there's a chance I might have.

I really don't mind the grind to 56, since there will be nothing much to do afterwards while we wait for a new dungeon if the exp required was kept the same as it is now.

Unless the bosses are completely impossible for teams under lvl 55, I don't see why anyone would spend their time leveling without farming.
And G said all the bosses have unique strategies. I don't think they'd make it impossible for lvl 50-54s to beat, bc they Nerfed ao3 for that exact reason.

Good thing they nerfed Ao3 when they did or my mage-baby WOULD be at 2k deaths. Though I think it wasn't too bad once she got to L50. And got some gear. But man, early Overlord *faint* though it WAS really really funny.

Pocket Legends, where you level up to 55... and to get to 56 is like leveling up to 55, 55 again, and then 10.
