Good Afternoon, Legends!
Some of you may have been experience some difficulties with the AL servers over the course of the Halloween event, such as long authentication times, lagging in maps, and random disconnections. Let me be the first to say that we sincerely apologize for this experience and any interruptions to your Halloween fun. Here's the latest:
There's good news and bad news. The good news is, the Halloween event is a HIT! There are more players online at a time than ever before, which is wonderful. The bad news is, that huge influx of players is putting a strain on our existing hardware, resulting in a much larger load on the server than normal. The development team is aware of the issue and are working very hard on a permanent hardware improvements and optimizations that will alleviate the problems.
We need some time to test out the new hardware before it goes online, so our current target date for this fix is Thursday. I will continue to update this thread as we learn more. Thank you all for being so patient with us as we work through these little growing pains. Keep an eye on this thread for updates as they come in.
