im on the last quest in balefort and now i have to find a mage or scholar. i looked everywhere and i stil cant find em. help please?!?!?!?

You have to go to the Shalerockstone Valley (near the dusty miner). In the back center of the map is a stone with ancient runes. Read the stone, then return to Fort Blackstone and talk to the royal magician there.

Actually, I think the Mage was the Mage in balefort castle. I just did that quest recently on my bird:

Yeah that's the royal magician (and you mean Fort Blackstone, Balefort is the campaign, FB the town ;) ), but you have to read the runestone first (even though the quest hint only tells you to talk to a mage or scholar).
