I just made a new character, and it is a mage.

Planning to go pure Int until I hit 50 then respec to pure Dex.(Is this a good idea? or should i just go all Dex from the beginning.)

What should I add for the ability points? Should I go all Int if I want to stay Int mage until lvl50? Or should I add a bit to Dex for better hit%?

Or should I go pure Dex all the way to lvl50

Any help would be appreciated.

:D

Another question: If I am lvl50 and I'm a pure Int mage, and I save the loadout. Then I respec to pure Dex and save the loadout. Will I be able to switch between the two loadouts and the ability points changes also? Or is the loadouts only for equipment.

Did you mean pure Dex until you hit 50? Otherwise, it wouldn't be much of a dex mage.

Edit: And also, what type of gear are you planning to wear? Dex or Int?

I mean I want to be pure Dex WHEN I hit 50.

I'd suggest you dual spec.... it allows you to wear both gear..
See Ellyidol's guide...
Basically, go 1 str, 127 dex, 127 int... you can use lower level pinks to boost to wear the int/dex gear...

If you really want to be a dexchantress, just go pure dex from the beginning.

Loadout is only for equipment. You can use BOTH dex and int equipment if you dual spec.

AWWWW DAMN IT :(
Wanted to go pure Dex for pvp
and pure Int for pve
arghhh
I think devs should change it so loadout is for equipment and ability points.

Dual spec-ing isn't that much of a downer... I suggest you try it, and if you don't like it respec to a pure.

I just started a bow mage last week, so far she is pure dex and she absolutely owns, no int whatsoever but still the skills are perfect and the attack is just as good as the birds I'm grinding with..

Down side is she uses a lot of mana pots cuz it doesn't regen very well, but if you can afford the pots it is worth going pure dex I'd say
