View Full Version : wifi connectivity issue?

11-07-2014, 12:43 PM
When connecting via wifi I get either the "server is undergoing maintenance" or the game starts to load then reload over and over agin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, signed in and out of google play, etc. If I turn off wifi and connect via my data connection (4G) it connects fine. Is there certain ports that have to be open, port forwarding, or other wifi settings that have to be enabled or disabled?

Happening on several devices
Galaxy S3 and S4
Galaxy II tab and notebook

I have found the issue or at least what has worked for me.

Under your router firewall if the peer to peer networks are blocked than you may not be able to connect via wifi.
It appears one of more of these port need to be open for the game to work properly.

HTTP and HTTPS (TCP port 80, 443)DNS (TCP/UDP port 53)NTP(TCP port 119, 123)email (TCP port 25, 110, 143, 465, 587, 993, 995)VPN(GRE, UDP 500, TCP 1723)iTunes (TCP port 3689)

If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that your router is configured for Game Center. If your router uses a firewall or other security software that will restrict Internet access, port forwarding must be enabled for the following ports: 443 (TCP), 3478-3497 (UDP), 4398 (UDP), 5223 (TCP), 16384-16387 (UDP), and 16393-16472 (UDP).
