A good way to check if a game name is being used is by going to social, then go to ignore, add ignore name. If the name you thought if exists then it will show up in your ignore lists, if it doesn't then the latter will not have said name.

Wren actually is taken. I have tried it long ago, added it to Ignore list - it did not show. Tried making a character with it and it said it was taken. My guess is that it was "reserved" by someone before AL started.
Another name that follows that is Bad.
