It is a current bug. A couple nights ago I was having the continual update reload issue and on three of the 4 login attempts I got that message. If you just try the update again it is usually successful. I tried the full uninstall/reinstall twice with no luck. Finally I read where someone posted to make sure AL didn't get moved to the SD card. I moved it back to device storage (I don't recall moving it to SD myself btw) and after one more update it was all fine again. I still don't know why AL installs to SD as it seems to be the direct cause of many of these problems.
oh and this was after installing the new client that was supposed to be the "fix" for this issue.
