I believe that contributing to the forums is very beneficial to STS since it attracts more customers, keeps the game alive, and helps out those in need. I think we should also be rewarded in some way, in game, for our contribution. I understand that when the game came out, people who helped the community received a community vanity shield... but I think that doesn't go on anymore, right? I think that putting in a system where for example if a player has x amount of detailed/helpful posts they will receive something in game, such as a vanity item for instance. I think if more forum-game benefits are implemented, it will motivate players to be more engaged in forums and to have something to look forward to.

I suggest a reward of some sort in game at the following "good post" amounts:

250 posts~

500 posts~

1000 posts~

2000~ posts

etc...

Obviously, I understand that this must be worded carefully since players could take advantage of this and post useless comments like thanks/ sure bye nice/ etc just to get their post number up. I realize that the devs will need to keep an eye out for beneficial posts and appropriateness .Besides that, I believe that if this system can be integrated in the PL game, players will have something to look forward to and to go on for.

I hope the mods and devs will take a good look at this post and really see the benefits from the players "competitive'' prospective, and realize the money making pontential.

Please leave your thoughts on this! (dev responses highly appreciated)!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and please take this into consideration!

Yeah that way we can have even more bs posts.
How would you expect them to determine how many actual "helpful" posts each person has?
This would require a ridiculous amount of attention to pl. That of which we already have little of.
Not mentioning finding something helpful is completely an opinion.

This would be nice, but it would lead to an increase of spam posts and unhelpful posts because it's almost impossible to develop a system for determining helpful posts.

/.../ it's almost impossible to develop a system for determining helpful posts.

Ah, if only there was a system on this forum where other people could decide whether your post was helpful or not. It would be so cool if you could like "thank" a person who made a useful post. But no, you're right. That's impossible. Maybe someday though, maybe someday we will get such a system.

well, if we ever reach such a system... it will really enhance the game!

HeyitsTubs

what if the system was based on forum acc reputation... that way we wont have to worry about total posts. What im trying to say is that if we recieve some type of in game reward for our forum contributions, we will have something to look forward to.

Maybe every time we get thanked, it counts as a useful post...
but no one is ever gonna reach 1,000 or 2,000 posts anytime soon.

We should also not forget to take post quality into account, a perfect example would be me

Now I may not have a lot of posts but hands down every post I've ever made is pure quality (as u can see by my forum rep)
This should be calculated into the mix.

what he means is that if posts were counted as thanks. it will be hard to recieve 1000-2000 thanks.

well, i think the devs can realize how hard 1000 thanks are to get... so that will be lowered. Anyway, this system will make players like us happy.

If STS puts in a little effort to create and design a vanity shield for instance for 100 thanks, and a vanity armour for 250 thanks, etc.

What's special about getting so few thanks? Everyone can get that much, 1k and 2k thx vanities make a lot more sense to me for some reason.

Rewards bring about disingenuous, and uninformed, posts for personal gain. When people get what the want, then they revert back to their old ways. A perfect example as to why these rewards are not given anymore is because of the backlash of a former poster who received GoA status then abruptly "disappeared."

Individuals should not have to be rewarded because they choose to be helpful.

I think that to get thanks you should post informative threads...so thanking random posts kinda ruins the balance

for example, someone could have 300 posts but all amazing
someone could have 3000 posts but they all suck
