I got cloth on one run with my lvl 50, and that's the only crafting drop I got in about 40 runs. Haven't had a chance to try my lvl 10 yet, hoping to find out before I'm forced to test it, heh.

iCant, do you mean Meathead's Deli? There only one boss, Skeller, in level 12 The Bone King.

I have been playing in FH for days now, learning crafting and hoping for a gem to drop, but zero, zip, zilch, nada! I have tried using a level 1, a level 5, a level 10, and a level 50. Absolutely nothing.

I don't understand this at all. Where are the gems dropping?

I just looted a gem in Meathead's Deli using my level 50 mage. You can do three runs of Deli in about 5 minutes, for 9 chances*. Out of twelve runs I got one gem plus two other greens and 3 scraps plus about a dozen other oranges.

* = actually, I got a green drop off a zombie, so 9 chances is a conservative estimate

just had a play in the deli. 8 attempts with lvl47 bear gained 2 power gems in first two attempts and a scattering of scraps. Also gained one gem (forgotten which but not power) during 6 attempts with lvl50 mage and fewer scraps.

Yeah. Meatheads Deli....I'm farming the heck out of it....got three orange level 5 recipes to drop as well. Hammancut said Skeller dropped a pink lvl 15 recipe in there too. So far I've gotten Power Gem, Magic gem, Focus gem and Hawk eye gem in there from one of the three. Gems mostly from Brom Dandy and Meathead.....

Drops don't appear to be frequent and are level-independent. I think that the only option at this point is to farm like crazy.

Just do Meathead's Deli: 3 bosses, and proven drops. I've got scraps a few times, and a gladiator gem the last time I farmed.

Just done another 50 runs of the Deli, 6 gems, 19 scraps lots of rubbish gear but still no recipes. Do you think it would be better to farm solo or with a group?

With forest haven bosses so weak, I don't think it really matters. You're limited by how fast you can walk here.

I wonder if FH 4 or 6 would have more chance of a recipe drop? I've done a ton of Deli runs too and finally got a few gems at least. I may change to focus on FH4 for a while.

I used my lvl 51 mage.

In the last two days, about 5 more scraps, and 2 more gems. I'd say that was about 30-40 runs of Meathead's Deli, but I didn't keep strict track. Def. getting decent crafting drops with my high level main, tho.

Read the whole thread above. It pretty much discusses 'where do gems drop' alternatively you can buy them for between 20000-50000 gold in the balefort castle town shop/auction. Very very expensive for crafting lower level items though.

Very expensive because they seem to be extremely rare (due to low drop rate). Might just give up on crafting... for a while, and finish up my other quests. :)

i was dropped the prestos gem in meatheads deli. are these gems that drop in forest haven for lvl 55 recipes as well? it doesnt appear with a check mark when i try to forge something... maybe i need to do more research

Lvl 55 recipes don't use gems. They use gemstone settings which are crafted from 5 superior blade steels (these are daily quest rewards I believe).

FH4, L14 toon, 20 Meatheads: 1 Hawkeye gem, 1 plate scrap, 3 chain scraps
Deli, L14 toon, 32 runs, 96 bosses: 1 gladiator's gem, 1 plate scrap, 1 L15 yellow recipe, 2 leather scraps, 2 cloth scraps
Deli, L34 toon, 20 runs, 60 bosses: 1 Power gem, 3 chain scraps
Deli, L34 toon, 20 runs, 60 bosses: 1 Focus gem, 1 cloth scrap (very poor drops this session. LOL)

Got other stuff from earlier runs, didn't keep track though. Also got some green drops. Didn't keep track.
