So, guys... I was silent for a long time but obviously I don't understand something in the game that used to be so much fun before.

I wanted to kill the boss in the Tomb3 (3 mages, one with the best gear available, me rogue) with this result:

a) DC every time when more than 6 mobs appear on the screen

b) bought 2 combos plus extra lixers

c) when the boss spits more than 5 lianas I DC and risk of reset increases

d) countless revivals, about 100 plat altogether

e) in the end fail anyway, so altogether about 200 plats lost

I am speaking about REAL MONEY waste here.

Because I think the game changed into daylight robbery, I wanted to ask you what do you do in the game besides PVP that keeps you playing?

I think its unacceptable! We pay real money to try and identify the bugs? Test server wasn't stable, constant dc, so instead of fixing the issue, the put it on live! Haha nice joke....
Very disappointing... -_-

Yeah, STS really ought to refund plat revives for this past weekend. I can't tell you how many times I used plat revives in the tombs and then disconnected anyway before finishing the dungeon. Probably at least 50-100 plat wasted :(

What do I do besides PvP? and outside events? *Struggles to think of something*

1. Try to get party to run something - elites or planar tombs/arena.
2. Find 2 people that want to run. Eventually manage to be in a full group. Run 1-2 maps then a party members leaves. No one to replace them.
3. Sit and chat. Have a sandwich. Hope another play comes on who might want to run some of this content.
4. Resort to forums hoping to find a glimmer of hope or some word from StS that will help revive this new content which was so promsing but yet which is already dead to a very large percentage of the player population.
5. Sit and remember how this game used to be so much fun and so easy to get a party and then farm elites for hours with them and make a bit of gold from it. Nothing to make me a multi-millionaire but enough for it to be fun, get a couple of nice saleable drops in a few hours of farming various maps. Especially not involving frustrating 1 hitting bosses requiring me to spam ankh revive just to get one planar token, or 1 chance at a recipe which may not exist and a fossil which also may as well not exist.

Yep, pretty much if it's not me who DC, it's the other party members! Even when you're not DC, you will get one shot dead.

I play my twinks in times like these. Elites are dead to me like this. 100k or more per elite run? Heck that's sometimes all I make in a week!

How many times has STS said they are working on figuring out a fix for it? How many more threads do we need made to say the same crap over and over again?

Yes, there is a D/C problem. Yes Sam made one poorly thought-out post in response, but the endless new threads moaning about the same thing over and over are not helping anything.

The D/C issues may be annoying, but they are not half as annoying as the incessant whining on the forums this week.

I am GM of one of the top guilds and party is really not the problem. The problem is to keep the buddies with second-to-best gear entertained.

They spend all their plat and gold for trying to kill one freaking boss. Not every party has 8-10 arcane items along. (In which party the boss is relatively easy).

Three seasons ago, killing Bloodhammer or Butterclaw was almost like having a good sex. So why the heck I don't have this feeling when I kill Taurus after tons of plats spent?

Yup, after you kill him, you just open the daily quest to kill all 3 bosses again. You would literally go broke farming here. I predicted as such as soon I saw tradable anks.

I become more and more angry the last two days, there comes really nothing back from STS. I´m really dissapointed!! I will wait some days, to see what happens, but if they keep this philosophie of disinformation and "keep your eyes shut", I will claim a part of my money back.

Unfortunatelly the game go out of the way of fun, friends and relationship :-(

StS announced few improvements, which should help non-plat players use the same bonuses as paying players (revive, respec kits..), but what wasn´t be announced is change of game mechanism and till revive kits go alive, we HAVE TO USE them.
At the start of Tindrin elites, I never use plat and I was able to run all elites pretty well. Tindrin bosses are the border of chalenge and nonsensel saughter.
There were always red zones and everyone know, that stand in the redzone means instant kill. These days red zones are gone and everyone know that boss NORMAL attack means instant kill.

You send warnings to angry players because we violates the forum rules, but there is rules of polite behavior also and actual status of StS definitely violates them.

These disconnects and keep players out of informations is way to the hell

I just don't understand why after a horrible weekend off dc after dc on test server, they released so soon after. Once live, it was the same as it was in server, just that we didn't have the free 2k plat to rev.. I used so much gold/plat for revs/kits/anhks for literally a few essence. I haven't been online much the last few days but I was just essence farming in the planar tombs, no boss.

Fought second boss. Did not enjoy the experience at all! Absolutely no fun whatsoever, no strategy except revive or revenge buff!!! Didn't even get to clear the boss and used up all my remaining ankhs. Dreadful, absolutely dreadful! Really just one word DREADFUL! Oh and did I mention it was dreadful?

We know you listen STS, look at the amazing Halloween event. But you've taken a huge step backwards on this one. A lot of people are feeling enraged, bitter and feeling robbed. Some of us rant not because we hate but because we feel passionate about something like AL. I have said that AL is a brilliant and addictive game but why are you trying to scare us away and then respond with stubborn posts about arcane geared blurb. The arcane geared folks are raging too! What business tries to scare it's customers away?

You haven't made it challenging. How is it challenging when you got to ankh spam the bosses to beat them?

There are two golden rules I know, one is about business and the other about life.

1. The PAYING customer is always right!

2. Those who do not learn from their mistakes die young...and I'm an old man!

So STS, listen to the concerns of your customers regarding what you have done wrong in this Planar content and both the Nekro and Mythic quest. Do not troll us with non-existent drops thank you very much. We can see where you're blatantly going with this planar ankh (plat) sink from a mile away. Don't let this great game die young!

Because it's more fun to watch new players grow and develop skills, and when a skilled but low geared player can succeed in the same content as a high geared player by playing intelligently. Intelligent game play is satisfying.

Defeating these bosses in high geared parties, using multiple ankh respswn, feels like cheating I guess for those of us who used to love seeking out the clever way.

This way it's like although we killed the boss, we didn't really "defeat" him. Maybe that's what you're missing?

Well said. I'm not a fan of paying 100k to defeat bosses at all. That is quitting territory for me.

Looks like the titanic would have sank like a rock without hitting the iceberg, if all the unhappy paying customers were onboard at the same time. Funny STS chose to blame the iceberg for being in the way rather than planning to avoid it when found.

This game has created a great community, and even without knowing people across the full spectrum of that community, each guild is a miniature lively, spirited and close knit community. That community / spirit was created back in "the good old days" and is unique to this game because the mechanics of the gameplay were so simple in comparison to others mmo games; there was enough time/room to play the game, gear your toon, create strategy together, farm gold, and still have more than enough left over to socialise in whichever part of the community you landed in.

I'd say that most of the "hardcore" or "longterm" players are currently sticking around more because of what the community does for its members (and I mean that in term of the value the friendships/allies/rivalries we make here bring to our lives) than what STG does for its customers, or for the gameplay. Before this was far more a balance of the two.

But waiting as a community for things to go back to what we once enjoyed so much realistically isn't going to last forever its either going to end in STG turning it around managing to bring that spark and content like I really keep hoping they are trying to do, or its going to end in people jumping ship to carry over your lovely metaphor there kill arrow :)

I'm thinking that the further the distance has gotten between the "OP" gear and the "standard" gear has gotten, the worse this has become because the game is now in this awful place where there is no happy medium between the two tiers of players at all.
