I. How do I begin this whole crafting thing?

To begin, you must talk to Burke the Blacksmith located in Forest Haven:

Burke gives you a quest that you must complete in Forest Haven maps to enable you to become a Crafter, and allows you to talk to Farrow the Forger in Muck Hovel (Balefort Sewers campaign). Farrow is the guy that crafts lv 55 items.

II. What happens when I craft my OLD lv 55 pink into a NEW lv 55 crafted pink?

It's important to note that when you craft lv 55 pinks, you are SACRIFICING one attribute on your old pink and REPLACING it with a new attribute on your new pink. You not only gain when you craft a lv 55 pink, but you lose something as well. What's lost and gained is different between the dex, str, and int gears:

Raid Roach -> Customized: Sacrifice 6 damage per equip, gain 6 H/s + 2 dex per equip
Mega Mage -> Enchanted: Sacrifice 8 M/s per equip, gain 8 H/s + 2 int per equip
Fury Fighter -> Fortified: Sacrifice 6 dodge + 6 m/s per equip, gain 8 damage + 2 str + 2 armor + 2 h/s per equip

If you have a lv 55 pink in your inventory and are thinking about crafting, carefully weigh out your options. Your old lv 55 pink may actually be more desirable for you!

Remember that only level 55 pinks can be used to craft new level 55 pinks. Level 51 and 53 pinks will NOT work!!!

In addition, set bonuses change slightly as well:

III. I've decided to craft a lv 55 pink. What now?

There are several components to crafting the lv 55 pinks. Let's use this Lv 55 Customized Gemstone Leather as an example. There are 5 unique components to the crafting procedure that you need (denoted in red numbers). Once you have the item, the box at the right will be checked off.

1. A lv 55 PINK item dropped from bosses in the Balefort sewers campaign. Each crafted lv 55 pink has a specific dropped lv 55 pink needed, so make sure you look at the ingredients carefully. These items must be farmed (see Yanis' list for boss drops (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?18619-Pinks-with-Stats-and-Pictures-Balefort-Sewers-amp-Crafting)) or bought from the Consignment Shoppe:

2. GREEN ingredients given from Daily Quests. You need these items to craft OTHER crafting items for the pinks. These ingredients are:
Custom Hand Grip
Fine Chain Mail Scrap
Heavy-Duty Hilt
Superior Blade Steel
Premium Weapon Wood
Fine Cloth Scrap, Fine Leather Scrap, Fine Plate Mail Scrap

In our example, the Gemstone Setting needed can be made from 5x Superior Blade Steel, which is given from Agent Smith's Daily Quest. The Fine Leather Panel needed can be made with 5x Fine Leather Scraps from Lilly's Daily Quest - note that since you need 2x Fine Leather Panels, you actually need a total of 10x Fine Leather Scraps. These ingredients can alternatively be bought from the Consignment Shoppe. Quests reset around 4:00 am CST every day.

3. WHITE or YELLOW ingredients bought directly from the Platinum Store for a certain amount of gold, or platinum. Simply go to the Plat store, go to Crafting, and buy the item you need; all these items have either a gold or platinum option. You can only get these crafting items from the store:

Simply buy the 1x Leather Cord which is needed for our example.

4. Lv55 PINK RECIPE dropped directly from the Balefort Sewer bosses. These recipes are tradeable through the Consignment Shoppe:

5. YELLOW RECIPES to create crafted items needed to make ingredients. This is actually the easiest thing to get and it's free; just tap on the FREE button on the bottom of the Recipe screen (this originally cost 10 Platinum). Once you tap this button, you'll notice that the topmost box is checked off, signifying that you have the recipe in your inventory.

IV. Daily Quest Guide

In order to gain access to these daily quests, you must first complete each NPC quest (minus the bounty quests) given to you by the various NPCs throughout Balefort Sewers. The daily quests will then be unlocked and available. Note that to get Lilly's quest, you need to do nearly every single quest in Balefort Sewers.

Daily quests rewards you with GREEN ingredients that are necessary to craft lv 55 pink gear. You cannot get these ingredients anywhere else, so you must complete these daily quests to obtain these necessary items, or you may buy them from other players in the Consignment Shoppe.

Superior Blade Steel (From "The Bank Job" given by Agent Smith)
Fine Chain Mail Scrap (From "Kidnapped" given by Agent Smith)
Heavy-Duty Hilt (From "The Animator" given by Mad Martha)
Custom Hand Grip (From "Noxious Times" given by Hazmat Investigator)
Premium Weapon Wood (From "The Goblin Ritual" given by The Wise Woman)
Fine Cloth Scrap, Fine Leather Scrap, Fine Plate Mail Scrap (From "Bandit King and Queen" given by Lilly)

The Bank Job
Given by: Agent Smith
Reward: Superior Blade Steel
Where to do the quest: Bank Vault, which is only accessible from a portal in the 1st stage, Bandit Boy Hideout.
How to finish: Kill the three Strong Sewer Warrior/Mage/Archer and Beargular (the boss) located in the Bank Vault; note that these Strong Sewer monsters have a lot more health, attack, and armor than their normal counterparts.

Kidnapped
Given by: Agent Smith
Reward: Fine Chain Mail Scrap
Where to do the quest: Bandit Cells, which is only accessible from a portal in the 2nd stage, Bandit Boy Stronghold.
How to finish: Destroy the cells holding the various NPCs through the map using skills or normal attacks. Note that two enemies spawn immediately after destroying each cell.

The Animator
Given by: Mad Martha
Reward: Heavy-Duty Hilt
Where to do the quest: Steam Chamber, which is only accessible from a portal in the 3rd stage, The Catacombs.
How to finish: Destroy 3 chests located in the 3 cul-de-sacs around the map. Note that a mini-boss named Animated Hammer spawns immediately after destroying each chest.

Noxious Times
Given by: Hazmat Investigator
Reward: Custom Hand Grip
Where to do the quest: Fetid Halls, which is only accessible from a portal in the 4th stage, Roach Motel.
How to finish: Kill Dr. Noxious. To reach him safely without getting damaged by the poison barrels, you must do the quest given to you by the Hazmat Containment Unit NPC located in the same map. After you finish the quest, tap on this NPC again and choose to activate it.

The Goblin Ritual
Given by: The Wise Woman
Reward: Premium Weapon Wood
Where to do the quest: Goblin Tunnels, which is only accessible from a portal in the 5th stage, Swill Pitz.
How to finish: Kill the Goblin Shamans and then tap on the Bones lying on the floor next to them. In order for the Bones to register for the quest, the Shamans next to them must be killed.

Bandit King and Queen
Given by: Lilly
Reward: Fine Cloth Scrap, Fine Leather Scrap, OR Fine Plate Mail Scrap (can only choose one)
Where to do the quest: Bandit Boy Stronghold, the 2nd stage.
How to finish: Kill the Bandit King and Queen.

V. Crafting Index for Farrow the Forger aka "Where do I get all these ingredients?"

This is a list, in alphabetical order, of every single ingredient needed to craft a lv 55 equipment. Any other crafting ingredient not seen on this list is NOT required to craft any of these equipment (i.e. Presto's Gem, Scrap of Cloth, etc.).

2. Panel and strap are different things. A panel requires a recipe to create. Are you sure they drop?

Doing some heavy editing at the moment, just got a quick q though - were you able to get Fine Cloth Scrap and Fine Leather Scrap from any DQ? Or is it just the 5 listed?

And yes, didn't put in the 53/55s since I only saw 51s listed in the CS but I'll add that in!

I believe that these things can be completely crafted without Platinum; currently the drop rates of green ingredients dropped from mobs/bosses are non-existent. However people have been getting certain ingredients from certain bosses (Meathead).

Physio, I have yet to hear of anyone getting a crafted crafting ingredient (Leather panel for instance which seems it must be crafted itself using a 10p recipe before you can craft your uber leather armor). Has anyone heard of these things dropping?

What about the boss only levels in forest haven? Like Meathead's Deli and The Skelton Cult Crypts? I am not having any luck getting these to drop anything but white.

Yeah, white/yellow ingredients drop but the green ingredients don't seem to drop at all. I've tried higher level bosses in other campaigns but haven't gotten much luck

I'm keeping an eye on this...my final judgement on the Crafting system will be withheld until I see how hard it is to pop these items. As it stands, I'd be making exactly none of the crafted level 55 gear for my int mage...there's no M/s on it. :(

so its deffinate that we can use lvl 51 and 53 oinks to craft 55 forged armor. we dont need regular lvl 55 pinks?

I believe you can use all of them, so yes it doesn't have to be 55 only.

4 Fine Leather Scraps + 1 Leather Cord is the recipe for 1 Fine Leather Panel. There's no "recipe" needed for the Fine Leather Panel; with those ingredients you can create 1 Fine Leather Panel.

Or,

10 Platinum for 1 Fine Leather Panel.

At least that's how I envision it; I'm not willing to spent the 10 platinum to see if the 10 Plat = 1 Fine Leather Panel works

Edit: nvm, still haven't been able to figure out the recipe part. We know where to get all green items, but the recipe thing still needs to be found! Gonna try to see of any daily quests give out recipes..

Phys, I tried buying the Fine Plate Panel for 10p, and it only gave me a recipe and not the panel itself :(

So I'm assuming you need the ingredients + the 10p to actually make the panel.

The DQs give the pre-ingredients to the actual 55 gear ingredients don't they?

Yeah, the DQs do give all the green ingredients. And itlooks like recipes are Plat only, I've exhausted 26/30 quests in BS and can't seem to find any more. Perhaps the last 4 quests there give ingredients? o.o

The items should be ticked off; it's odd that it isn't - perhaps lv 51 items don't work for the lv 55 crafted items!

It could be, but I remember on my first craft that I lacked one ingredient which didn't tick off.

Perhaps 51s don't work :( I'll need to complete all other ingredients first though.

Also, for the 55 gear, do you actually need recipes to make them? I've seen a few in CS that say "Level 55 Weapon of Blah". So their recipes are the rare drop from bosses maybe? (since I've seen one drop with the same format "Level 55 Wand of Blah".

Crafting noob question to physiologic: u have written lvl 55 recipes can be bought from plat store... but i dont know where to search there...?

and why on the crafting screen is nothing about needing a recipe?
and why to spend 10 plat for a gemstone setting or leather panel, when u could become very easy from daily quest or in shop for 10-20k..

There's two types of recipes needed. There's the lv 55 recipe that's only dropped from bosses, and there's the recipes for the crafted ingredients needed.

Yes, 30 Platinum is currently needed for 1 lv 55 crafted pink, HOWEVER JustG said that he'll be looking into it and fine-tuning the whole system. So we will most likely figure out where to get these recipes.

And there's also a lot of issues regarding crafted/looted lv 51/53/55 pinks (very very low armor for birds) so we don't really know yet :P Until Cinco fixes certain stats, I'm going to stick with my old gear for now.

It's quite possible that a lv 55 crafted pink may surface tomorrow (day 4 of the release of crafting) provided that a player has done all the daily quests and has the other ingredients (lv 55 looted pink, lv 55 recipe, white/yellow ingredients, and used 30 Plat for the other recipes).

i could be possible today when ingredients are in shop. i would give away mine if someone missing some to complete craft.
pinks 55 are in shop, may the recipes are more the problem....
but sure.. a lots of things to have ;)

Oh didn't realize that the daily quests ingredients were available through there, thought it was just everything else. I'll add that in! So it appears that everything is tradeable except things bought from the Plat store.

How do you get the quest from Lilly? I got the two from agent smith and hazmat after completing one or two of their quests. However, Lilly does not give out any quests at all.

I have yet to test this, I haven't gathered enough materials yet. But to me it makes sense if you use a 51 pink, you get a 51 armor. The only thing that gives it away is that the recipe itself is called "Level 55....". So that makes me think its for level 55 only, though I could be wrong.

1. From what I know, any level can craft.

2. The recipe's themselves are quite rare, though I think some more than others. And its mainly because of the materials needed. For the 2handed str, if I'm not mistaken, you need 10 of the daily rewards pieces, along with other daily rewards pieces. Shouldn't be long if you have maybe 3-5 alts doing that, but just doing daily quests alone on my main can get boring. Lol

I'm not sure about this, but I know that I have a 53 that doesn't seem to register when I try to craft.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but I assume that the item needs to be level 55 to use for craft.

Okay since it's not confirmed yet then I won't buy anything yet.

I bought some of the crafted materials though but it doesn't have a check mark next to it when I try to craft. For example, gemstone setting. Must I craft the materials on my own to be able to use them? If so, then it doest make sense that they're tradable.

It appears only the lv 55 pinks can be used (previously we all thought any pink would work since the exact level wasn't stated). And perhaps its another glitch that we have encountered regarding the gemstone example...we may have yet to see more craft updates.

So I now have no idea how to do this. I think I have all the items but there is no checkmark on the top or a combine to hit like the for material scraps; I'm hoping that it's just a glitch (maybe they'll change it so lvl 51 and 53 pinks can be used to make the level 55 custom pinks).

You're missing the actual recipe (as indicated by the empty box at the top of each screenshot). The recipe for all these pinks most likely drops from the bosses in Forest Haven, though I am unsure which boss drops which. I'm sure other players who farm Forest Haven for ingredients/recipes have more information about this than I do.

The lv 55 recipes have been reported to drop from the mini-bosses (Oil Spill, Catspaw, etc.) right before the main bosses in each map of Balefort Sewers.

Do you even know what you're talking about? Even if you don't own the recipe but do own the materials a checkmark should still appear beside the material. In my case with traded materials it doesn't.

Yes, the level 55 recipes drop from catspaw and also the first one in catacombs as far as I've seen.

A crafting index has been added to the end of the guide, which denotes every single ingredient/recipe you need for lv 55 gear and where exactly to get them. Hopefully this will clear some confusion. Anything not listed in this index is used for lv 5/15 crafting.

Still, I strongly suggest you look at section II before you decide to craft.

atm is no way to have more ms by crafting. when u want ms u should opt for the new sewer scarb bow wich gives ya 6ms and when u want more u can use some underling (green) items wich gives ya 3ms each.
i wouldnt recomand to buy a ring for ms...rings should improve other stats like crit or dogde...

Pretty much Riccits had said it all - you can't "customize" those crafted gear in any other way. Since you seem to prefer high regen rates, the next best thing to do is mix and match your equips until you get what you want. You can look at this list to mix/match (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?19819-Complete-Lv-55-Archer-Gear-List) what you want.

I am coming to the same conclusion. If they aren't adding M/s to bows by crafting them, I might as well go with Sewer King Gemstone Scarab. But the contrary point was also made by Royce that archers don't need M/s since we can spam pots, and that the Crit % of the crafted items is far more useful.

Even if we have to buy 200 mana pots a day for 3K, it only comes to about 200K before the new maps come out and you go up to level 60. So, is it worth it?

with 0 ms u wont have enough with 200mana pots a day ;) 1 mana pot = almost 1 combined combo. u will need 30 mana pots a round. so u could play 7 rounds with. 200 LOL..
thats not worh it when u can have almost same results with other gear.... then i would thinking at every mob if its woth now to start a combo or not... and thats a funkiller...

I see that Farrow gives away free orange recipes but does that mean I'll end up with an orange fine cloth fabric? Or is this just a colour glitch because there's only ONE type of fine cloth fabric? Thanks.

I thought I answered this question but I guess that was when the forum got rollbacked. The Enchanted armor recipe does drop from one of the bosses but everything listed on this guide has definitive proof of the specific location of the recipe drop. If anyone could provide the boss from which the Enchanted armor recipe drops, as well as an ss, it would be much appreciated.

Somebody said to me though that Gold Fever has been seen dropping the enchanted armor.

Well, to bring you up to speed, minibosses do drop recipes and have for about a month now. All minibosses, from the ones that are always there like Catspaw to the ones that only sometimes appear like Noodles can drop recipes.

Needless to say, there are dedicated bank job farming teams. However, drop rates are extremely low; based off my experiences 4-5x lower than bosses. Adding to this, recipes however have dropped in price ever since the announcement of a level cap increase. I don't consider farming minibosses to be productive.

By the way, the info about the enchanted from Gold Fever was from a stranger that I never met, although I don't see any motive for him/her lying.
