the reason behind this may be your keyboard, try to get aa new keyboard, most new keyboards are bluetooth so you basically dont have to use those pesky wires and connect it, all you have to do is add it to your device in your bluetooth settings, once you have a new and fresh keyboard those key functions will work properly
