Do planar weapons upgrade or is it just the dark gem armor?

Just was wondering if it's just the armor that upgrades or if the weapons do also.

If the weapons will be upgraded there should be a corresponding recipe for that. but as far as i know theres no such recipe at this time. ( who knows maybe its another hidden thing in game )
