Poll: Lightning or Firestorm? (for a pally)

If I had to pick one, probably lighting since it has the shorter cooldown, but of course the damage of firestorm is magnified when used in a combo. Then again ice/fire combos seem to be hard to get off on the BS mobs for some reason...

I would say both, but if you had to pick one (for a twink or something of that sort) I would most likely pick firestorm. The push back + massive damage in my opinion is a greater advantage then the damage + debuff procs of lightning.

Average damage goes up by ~20 on both so Lightning is probably the best choice with the fastest cool down. After buff and de-buffs, I always hit Lightning, Ice Storm, Fire Storm, and back to Lightning in a mob attack so more damage with Lightning is my choice.

1 icestorm with 6 firestorm is a great sweep, but maxing lightning is also something you'd want to do too. Open with icestrom to firestorm to AOE "Hot-Flash" then Lightning Right after to kill off stragglers :D

If you use lightning first you debuff them before the hotflash, and don't have to worry about the stragglers being knocked out of lightning range by firestorm.

The first 6 max for me actually went to heal lol. My main goal of being a pally is to still be 100% support (healing,buffs,res) and using the Str side of it to actually stay alive. So priority for me is Maxing the buffs and heal

imo i think firestorm will be a better choice. When too many mobs coming at you, firestorm is useful for pushing them away. I always tap on icestorm, lightning, drain life then firestorm. allowing some time for the ice to freeze on their feet first, so it will be easier to create successful combos.

I'd say pick lightening.. good damage, plus debuff. Besides, you're a pally. Keep ya friends close, but ya enemies closer ;)

I respeced and maxed both but if your only getting one i would suggest firestorm, the knock back is generally gonna be more useful then the lightnings armour debuff, especially if you have nightmere and weakness

I upped fire but I use int gear in pve most of the time. In pvp lightning would be my first choice.
