Effective builds?

I have now played all three classes to level 20. I am trying to decide which to main and which to keep level 20. I have tried a lot of builds some better than others, but what I'm wanting to know is.... What builds are viable end game.

Right now Im leaning towards bear, maybe pally, or a dexbear. I am kinda wanting to do a build that isn't the classes suggested role(not sure why really but w/e). I don't need it to be the best pvp class, just one that can do decent and still pull some kills.

Some of the builds I would like to know(add others if you know):
-warbird
-dexenchant
-pally
-strbear
-dexbear
-each duel spec


P.S. I don't want any ints other if it is a duel spec build deal(rather other builds for bear/bird, and int enchantress wasn't as fun as pally to me).

Any decently stat build, with decent gear, can bring in kills and hold its own if you have the skill to use it correctly.

Unless you use all pinks, I don't think it's possible to be a mage and not use int as one of your dual stats.

Unless you use plat pinks, you won't be able to. Not enough skill points to use with boosting make a dex/str mage. Prove me otherwise though!

Ok Jbah gtfo. I dont know why people feel they need to even post that and think that helped in anyway. No matter what game it is, if someone posts a thread asking whats the best or is viable, someone has to get on and post some stupid **** like that. That in no way helped me decide what to go. Why don't you try thinking what the person posting is try to get out making the thread instead of coming on and giving no helpful advice. Im sorry but its ignorance. I was wanting someone to sale me on a build and why it is fun and pros/cons in pvp.

I would go with a purp/green snowball launcher or jewel platinum talon or snipers avian talon (what the hell, I'm not blowing my money)
I would Str up to 50 and use these boosters: Polar Gingerbread Defender(+3 str) Redfang's forest chain (+4 str) Ursan Helm of Power (+ 3 Str) and then equip a ...chain mail of legend
Helm=crocs or something
Wep = snipers avian talon or jewel thief talon or snow Launch
Shield when talon is equipped=Crusader's Iron rock.

So:50 str, rest dex.
Wep: Jewel thief talon/ sniper's avian talon ( i think that's what it's called)/ (purp or green Snowball Launcher
Shield: (if needed) Crusader's Ironrock
Armor: After Boosters, ___mail of legend
Helm: A Croc's helm.

So I've gotten the almost cheapest items available, it's the skills that worry me. With no int, your skills will be minimum power -.-
LVL:20
Fire storm: 5 for knockback and you can also self combo with snowball launcher
Lightning: 2 for dmg and debuff
Drain Life:4 for huge single target Damage and also heal
Heal:6 for obvious reasons
Icestorm/Frostbite: 1 in either for combo.
2 extra for whatever I forgot.

Is that right? I'm worried for you Z, those skills are gonna blow.

Anyway, what helm are you using? I'm assuming a plat pack one or a forged one? I already said it wasn't possible without using a plat item helm, I did leave out the crafting detail.

You could always use some heavy boosters. Anyway, if the SL is scrapped, I still got the Talon/shield right.

The point I'm saying with a lvl 20 mage is you have too int naturally, which takes away from the base dex and str you get off the bat. You can boost all you want, but without 4 pinks, you can't make a mage use dex/str at that level. It will aways have to be int/dex or int/str.

Same goes for birds, and bears. If you are going for split equips, you have to use your base stat and your choice of another. The plat packs and crafting changed this though to make anything possible.

Took while to get the equips to boost the stats but there she is!

only pink used to boost was lvl 17 platinum talon ;) have fun figuring out how I did it!


Btw those kills and deaths are from my lvl 15 twinking. Not bad considering bears are OP :D

Well i came to the conclusion that it's not a good competitive build at all. You'd have to have perfect timing with everything.

This was the build:

Str - 43
Dex - 55
Int - 7

Heal - 5
Frostbite - 1
Firestorm - 1
Weakness - 6
Nightmare - 6

Looks too centralized, but the idea was to make up for the mage's low mana and spell power and instead have a weakened opponent to let the talon do the talking. 5 heal was simply because anything less was going to be too little to really do anything to benefit. I got the idea to use Nightmare and Weakness from my bird's "chanter" build. Basically was meant to weaken the opponent and make them frail while also nerfing their damage.

Pros:
VERY VERY VERY usefull in 3v3 rumbles since the debuffs are AoE. In terms of taking hits as opposed to healing and draining to survive, probably the most durable mage build I've ever compiled.

Cons:
The talon gave the mage 84 dps at level 20. Not bad, but the Nightmare and Weakness took about a second to kick in. Str armor only does so much, and this mage is definitely not "smart" enough to heal for adequate amounts.

Enemy mages are also able to heal off the heart of this build: the double debuff. Needless to say, mages (particularly int mages) were the heaviest counter on this build.

Birds came next, as most of their skills have the same range as the debuffs, but their also way faster. By the time I get my debuffs in and try to heal, I've taken too much damage and am usually killed by auto.

Bears were what this build stood the best chance against ironically. Bears' slash skills were kept away from me with frostbite, and as for the dex bears, Weakness made their weapons almost useless. Nightmare, however, didn't have a great enough effect to whither down their health as I had intended.

All is lost, gg Zeriousvslb, I'll get you a better build to get those kills back :D

Ah, I was thinking of a lvl 19 twink, which I'm pretty sure you can't pull this off with. Anyway, I wouldn't think it would work out too well. Mages are best with str/int at that level, I've seen some pretty beast dex mages. Toywand/snowball is a must, so you can really hit hard.

•full dex mage
•dex/int mage, dex geared
•dex/int mage, int geared
•str/int melee pally
•str/int wand pally hybrid (this is where i got the idea, and Vslb is now this)
•str/int hammer pally (Zeriouswolf original build)
