Its on the PC. I like the whole random war concept, i've always been into free lances that just have a random sprawl of war out of nowhere. Oblivion had that, were one day you can find a nice village, the next day its infested with goblins, the next day its got a giant portal to oblivion on it. Oh oh and my favorite was when you go to the village and two kingdoms were going to war. It's always fun to snipe off a hill, kill them all and loot them all dry without becoming infamous. Great way to improve sneak skill too.

I wish i could play awsome war mystixak and technoligal mmo and mmo wars with so much things are there those kinds of games on the PS3?

Pharcyde

Yes and no, Ps3 games are RPG's, which usually are single player. usually content isn't being constantly produced and you can only do things within the story line

Games like Rift is open to anything and literally no restrictions.

I just downloaded it, get it while you can guys! They are looking for beta testers. Being a beta tester means you get to play the game foreverly free while all late users are required to pay a monthly fee. WoW beta users still haven't paid a single cent for WoW, and they get all added on content for free.

I think I might start to like PC gaming a little more now ;)

How did you get it for free?

How did you get it for free?

Apply to be a beta, Beta's get the game for free by "promising" to do things when asked by developers to help them find and fix bugs, make improvements and take feedback.

Basically the same thing PL is doing when they go to PC, they will get beta's to help them test the game before its released to the public.

Edit: Make yourself sound as nerdy as possible on the application. They are only taking devoted MMO junkies who donate their lifes to games, but they don't keep track of them after they become beta's *Cough cough*.
I listed that I play for 50+ hours, played MMO's hardcore for 10 years, have a completely custom computer made for gaming, played over 10 other MMO's and basically just sucked up to them. Now of course pretty much all of that isn't true :P.

Anyone else notice it says Talera? Add one "r" and mix it around and it spells Alterra:o

Also, what device is it on? Sorry if this was in another comment, I am taking a break from Algebra so I can't read em all:p Even though I probably will after I post this;)

Does it take up much memory? Should I register for beta?

It takes up about the same as WoW, you should be fine if you got 30+ gigs open still, it's not a 30 gig file but games like these run so much smoother and less bugs if you got at least 30 free gigs.

Yes, yes you should. Being Beta = Free Gaming for life.

For the people who purchase the online version, they will be paying monthly fee's, for people who buy them in the stores, they will pay one really large up front fee but will still pay a small amount monthly. Beta's get both free.

1.) Community Beta Codes: these were auto-applied to the accounts of folks who had an account prior to October 2010, I do believe. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong about the date. Anyway, these codes give folks a CHANCE at being selected for Weekend Beta Events. Once you've taken part in that one weekend, your code goes back into the pool where you will get a chance to be picked again.

2.) Gaming conference codes: these were handed out at gaming conferences and get-togethers. Some of them are like the community beta codes ... and some are special VIP codes that get you into ALL weekend events. These VIP Codes are the ones that are currently being raffled away in Facebook and Twitter and in the "Question of the Day" posts.

3.) Alpha: These are not actually codes, I don't think ... or perhaps you are given one. Basically, you are hand-selected by someone from Trion to take part in the Alpha testing ... which is currently going on now. I think this is 24/7 access to testing the game. To get into alpha, you basically have to submit an answer to the "Beta Selection" thread that has been stickied in this General Discussion forum.

I am applying for number 3, Alpha is 24/7 free access, even after the beta server is shut.

You make a Trion account and fill in the Advanced Beta Application. http://forums.riftgame.com/images/smilies/160.gif

Okay I'm now officially in love. Check the story line out on this, it plays through the whole game, unlike most other MMO's were there is like 80 different lines and none ever seem to end...
