2x Chance for mythic and arcane? Really? Since I started I opened exactly 10,000 platinum of crates, especially today and the best thing out of the 600 crates I've opened was 15 Platinum and 25k gold? I'm really confused. :/

Locks are all a gamble I wouldn't advice opening more then 10 in totall.

Never open crates when STS wants you to. It's pretty much a sure fail.

Even at 2X odds, Arcane and Mythic items, are still the most rare items in the game. Also, there is no streak breaker or other guarantee that you will eventually get what you are looking for. Every time you roll the dice, you're doing that, rolling dice.
There is no difference of "opening when we want you to" You do have a better chance of getting Arcane and Mythics now. If that is what you are looking for, then yes, now is a good time to go after them. Also, there may be more on the market, as others are trying also. It might be a more direct way to get what you want by buying it from someone who got lucky and got one.

I'm with you dude. Since I started playing AL (2 years ago), I have opened about 400 locked crates (6000 plat worth) and I never looted a mythic or arcane item either. Then you have players like this guy in my guild who looted 2 samael eggs in 50 crates yesterday. It's all about luck. I never won the lottery either, but I remember reading about this guy who won the jackpot twice. Oh well...
If you want to have fun in AL, I suggest you don't rely on opening locked crates and instead play the game. If you prefer opening locked crates, might I suggest a trip to Las Vegas would be more enjoyable than playing AL. I still open them occasionally, but never that many and I don't expect to win the jackpot. If I do then it will be a bonus.

I opened 600 yesterday and got 0 arcanes and 11 mythics ranging from 100k to about 1M in value. Should've waited and slung energy kits for winter hehe. Was def hunting only for Sam which of course prob wasn't the best hope/expectation.

wow 3 sam! hehe I'm saving my plats for the day when mythics will be worth at least over 10m again. Guildies looted a fang and it's worth 100k LOL I did loot a singe on the test server in 100 crates, but none on the second time the test server was up :(
The best thing to do is just to enjoy the game and sell everything looted during events! You will get at least a million in doing so!

Oh and let me add of course that 600 crates cost me north of 6M. 10 were elon locked and 10 necro locked. Spent 270 bucks and will prob break about even, maybe make some. I agree with kakashis about waiting for value of mythics to rise. You could loot 50 doom/fang/lunar and still have an even ish maybe losing time after 600 crates.

I gave it a last shot. I now know that I should never 'gamble' in this game again. Opened 200 more. That equals a total of about 800 crates opened (including 2x chance week) and not a single item worth more than 5k other than 25 platinum. After seeing how many peeps get amazing stuff more than once after a few crates (and not just once; they keep on getting arcane and Mythics) I'm really frustrated. Gambling or not, I'm human as well and it hurts. Anyways, happens I guess.

Lol I opened about 40-50 locks total I got one fang like 5 months ago spent about 1.4k plat total almost all from free offers I buy ankh kits or other things to sell much more profitable

its a relief to know that I'm not the only one having problem with those dem crates. love it hate it. now i only open crates which i loot. if im lucky enough to get those drops, i will open them.

Just don't buy plat.... I don't blame sts for making rates so low cuz it gets them more $ but honestly all that gambling will just cause you frustration (the opposite of what a game is suppose to do) so just play the game and don't waste ur $

It's all gambling and superstition.
I went for a year and a half without getting a single red, opening crates weekly. 3 weeks ago I got 4 in one weekend on less than 100 crates. I opened a bunch of crates last night and only got 5K gold, 5 plat, 2K gold. This has been my personal experience in regards to every double odds and plat sale weekend there has been. That's all I meant.
