Absolutely nothing, besides cheapper potions. And nothing is expected from you, you are just there for the fun and that's it.

Dont join - make your own. Make up a perfect name and use that as a title like I do

Imo the advantages to join a guild are:
-you can get tips for build/tactics
-you can call for a higher lvl help if you are facing trouble at killing any boss
-you can also get some tips about prices when you are in a need
-you can practice and master your skills at a pvp game which is hosted by your guild
-if you are bored, you can have fun and talk with your guildies
-you can buy elixirs and potions cheaper
-you can make some new friends

The disadvantages may be these:
-you can face some drama
-you can face some hate
-you can hop in into a "guild war"
-if you are naive enough, you can get scammed..

Thats all what came up in my mind this quick. But keep one thing always in your mind; NEVER EVER TRUST NOONE, till they didnt earned your trust and back. Being backstabbed (its not always meant to be scammed) is the worst thing what you can get ingame (after a perma ban, but thats another story..).

Advantages include:
• Purchasing pots and elixars cheaper.
• Having others to help you level up and clear maps on difficult bosses.
• Farming runs.
• Having allies in pvp so you don't get rushed and teamed.
• Having the collective knowledge and experience of others regarding pl.

Disadvanges include:
• More different personalities result in more drama.
• Being in a guild associated with scammers.
• Those who play the black market on pl (buying and selling of accounts, elites, black sets, items and pl gold for real life money).
• Those who sell plat for pl gold.

Knowing the culture of the guild and what suits you best. Are they chatty and sociable? Or do you prefer a more quiet and mature guild?
If you know your master or officer is corrupt can you accept that they scam? Or use the blackmarket? Or buy plat for others for pl gold or real life money?
Do you stay for your friends and don't care about the integrity of the guild? Or do you choose to leave and be in a guild with honest players?
