This sorta came up just recently in a different thread and in game, and it got me thinking about an Passworded games.
I have always thought that the a player should not be able to bypass the password on a game by joining through the friend list. If you want to join a passworded game, you should always be prompted to input the password before entering, even if you are entering by way of the friend lists.
The most common reason for this change, would be a player entering the game that you passworded, because that player is on your friends' friend list. With friend lists getting longer and longer, the "password" on the game a player has created is becoming more and more meaningless.
