If PL had this, it would be epic. And it would give me a reason to buy a gaming headset for my iPod touch. :D

Eq2 didn't get VoIP until 4 years after launch, and nothing against the spacetime staff but EQ2's budget was substantially larger, how would it even be possible on the touch, how would you connect the "gaming headset"

There is a mic available for the iPod Touch. Maybe that's what he meant.

So you're saying that just because of a larger budget, the EQ2 dev team is more dedicated than the PL dev team? And before PL, did you ever think that a real MMORPG would be possible on the touch? Because I sure didn't. :) And through the audio port on the iDevice, that's why the new 3G touches come with the earbuds that have the mic on them. :)

i dont think it would be possible having 5 people chating while doing a dungeon, i just think post peoples ping would go crazy and have to leave game, maybe when player housing is introduced, you can invite people to your home and chat with them using your mic, i think without lots of mobs swarming you, it might be possible.

would be awsome tho, ive always wanted to use the mic on my new 32G ipod touch

Read between the lines much.....I was merely stating that at this point in time, it is kinda a luxury...don't ya think?

I don't think this will happen, its very difficult to implement and manage. It would lag the game down considerably. The devs have much more pressing aspects of the game to work.

It would be wonderful, but its not happening.

You don't seem to understand that the dev team consists of 6 people. VoIP is a pretty heavy thing to implement. I'm actually extremely surprised at what the dev team has been able to add so far and what they have for the future. I can totally see this happening on the iPad, but the iPod Touch? Not happening, or at least till the 4G comes out.

dude... OS 4.0 from Apple enables voip multitasking. just wait for it to release for your iPod touch, and grab a voip app that your guild can share as well.

:O Dude. That is epic. I didn't ever put that together. And I thought that OS4 couldn't get more awesome! :D

Team Speak 2 has been available for the iPhone for over 6 months...

However, you cannot minimize and say, switch to Pocket Legends...

:(

It's called PhoneSpeex, I believe. Only available for TS2, which is oudated. And Vent destroys TS anyways. But it'll come soon... something like VoIP or a minimizable Vent app...

Til then, fire up your PC, put on your headset, and use Vent for patch 1.2!
