I'm not really sure if this was already suggested but I'm still doing it anyway since I've been reading a lot of negative feedback regarding recolored Arlor.
Instead of doing recolored vanities during events, why not hold a vanity making contest? It would be cool to have a collaboration between the players and game developers. Maybe you can pick top 5 or something and then ask for votes from the players which they think is the best as part of judging. That way we can also help you produce awesome looking vanities that players actually like/chose.
