best ring for tanking bear?

I was thinking about getting the Steel Ring for lvl 20 that gives 3 h/s and 1 m/s with 4 armor.

That or the 1% dodge, 5 armor and 2 h/s.

What do you all think?

If I was potting and not worried about health mana, I guess, the best ring would probably be, the one with 1% dodge 5 armor and 2 h/s or the 2% dodge/2 h/s and 4 armor.

I personally use either:
Acrobat's Fine Golden Band: 2% dodge, 8 armor
-or-
Fine Golden Band of Technique: 1% dodge, 9 armor.

Honestly, I use the first one now because it was improved in a patch, where previously the second one mentioned was better then.
Your ring is an excellent one too, although I see more dodge/armor going further than h/s in boss fights.

Nothing has been changed regarding the ring stats except the Common and Premium Silver Bands' 10/20 Mana.

Looking at my screen now, 2% dodge, 8 armor.
Maybe it has to be a newly purchased one since the patch?

I double checked, there also appears to be an ring with the same name at lvl 10 providing only 6 armor, thats probably what you saw Phys. Scrolling down further is a lvl 20 that provides the 8 armor

Nothing has changed inbetween the patches regarding the rings - there's two versions of each ring with different level and dex requirements in each section.

Well, that's odd, considering I have a 2% dodge 7 armor sitting on my lowbie alt that used to be on my main before the switch. Im confused

I was under the impression that straight up Str was best for tanking bears.

However, I was thinking about doing str til 175(I think current lvl 56 req) then dump the rest into dex after that.

This is talking about rings not stats...

This is about the best ring for a tanking bear.

The modifier here is a _TANKING_ bear. Hence, if the build for a tanking bear is going to be Str/Dex, then a dex based ring would be an option. If a tanking bear build is all str, then Dex ring isn't an option. Understand?

So we basically have 2 builds for tanking bear it seems, all Str, Str/Dex. I just was under the impression that tanking bears were ALL str, and twinking PVP bears were str/dex, but I guess I should have said PVE, tanking bear?

Obviously for a tank, armor and dodge will be stats to focus on. However, I think rings are best used to supplement your current gear stats. So for instance if you have decent armor but low regen, you could try to augment that with a ring.
