The Frozen Frontlines Winter Event is Live in Arcane Legends!

News of the banishing of Tarlok and his dragon Valkoz, and the more recent defeat of Rendtail, Guardian of the Mountains in Tindirin, has reached the ears of Syrillax, Dragon of the North. Syrillax hails from the Mountains of Ursume, far to the north of Arlor. The local tribes of the area have pledged their piety in the direction of the North in hopes of awakening the Northern Guardian. Syrillax has heard the plea of his brethren, and is bringing with him the frigid winds of Ursume in the pursuit of vengeance. He has now settled on a small island to the north of Tindirin and turned the once-lush island into his frozen domain.


What is the Winter Event?

In the newest Arcane Legends seasonal event, the dragon saga continues with Frozen Frontlines. The dragon lord Syrillax has taken up residence on Balmy Beach, a small island North of Tindirin, turning it into a frozen domain with brand new maps, gear, pets, and bone-chilling boss encounters. Get ready for a Winter Event like you've never seen and steel yourself for the final encounters -vs- the familiar foe Tarlok and the all-powerful Dragon Lord Syrillax! The Winter Event will end on Tuesday January 6th at 1:30 pm!


NEW!New Pet Coming on Thursday 12/11

Keep an eye out for a new update coming Thursday, 12/11. A new pet egg recipe will be available exclusively in Greater Ice-covered Chests. This Legendary frosty reindeer, Frist, can be crafted using a Prance egg and ice dragon scales. Frist is comparable to Prance, with a nice little boost to stats and a frozen twist to his AA. Here's a quick stat comparison:

The happy buff stats for Prance are: +20 Primary, +15 Str, +60 Armor
The happy buff stats for Frist are: +20 Primary, +10 STR, DEX, INT, +100 Armor

The activated ability for Prance blinds enemies, reducing chance to hit by 80% for 3 seconds, the activated for Frist does the same thing, with a little bit of damage and a chance to 15% chance to freeze.



Token Rewards and Craftables

When you beat bosses and complete quests in the Winter Event zones, you'll earn Ursume Tokens. These can be exchanged in the quest hub for valuable items like recipes, chests, pets and vanities! Check out the offerings on the token vendor this year:

As always, you'll be able to use Platinum to purchase extra Energy Kits or Tokens, but let's get to the good stuff.

You can use your tokens for extra ice-covered chests. Grab the recipe for greater ice-covered chests and you'll be able to craft them into rarer versions with chances at new legendary gear, or the snowman pet Snowball! There is also the Locked Grand Crate of Ursume which includes the shiny new frost-touched versions of the mythic bow, bulwark and rifle.

Tribesman Frelleus is the first and arguably the easier boss in the event. He will spawn most often in pre-bronze and bronze tier.

The Syrillax Guardians are the Silver Tier boss. You'll fight each of three guardians in turn, and each one brings something unique to the table.

Tarlok makes his return as the Gold Tier boss, and he hits HARD! This one will take a bit more strategy and a well coordinated party.

And finally, Syrillax, Dragon of the North. This fearsome foe is waiting for you at Gold tier. Watch out for his hard hitting bite, his inhale move and health eating minions.

Also, if you brave the cold all the way to Platinum tier, you'll encounter a bonus boss! The Syrillax Guardians come back at platinum tier, but you won't have the luxury of fighting one at a time... you'll have to take them on ALL AT ONCE. Bring your best gear to this fight. You'll definitely need it.

Tiered Rewards

Playing the Winter Event content will earn you points so that you can progress through 4 different tiers of gameplay: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum tier. Moving up in the tiers isn't always easy, so we make sure that getting to each one is worth your while. Here are the prizes for reaching each of the Winter event tiers:

At bronze tier you'll get the sparkling snowflake Frozen Frontlines banner, to show that you've made your mark fighting the bosses of Balmy Beach.

Once you reach Silver, you'll receive 3 Greater Ice Covered Chests. These chests have the chance to drop many useful items such as gold, energy, and event tokens. They also give you a chance to receive items from two winter themes armor sets, a legendary Chillwind Amulet, Snowball pet egg, or the Frist Egg Recipe! (starting Thursday, 12/11/14).

Well, good luck to everyone running the event. This one's not for me, everything is recoloured old stuff tbh and not much of interest to be gained, even the balmy bay is recoloured rotated expedition camp lol.

LB vanities are a terrible idea imo and offer very little incentive to spend millions on running as they will never be profitable. Please bring back the SnS type prizes, ignore the 'its not fair' cry babies who didn't put the time effort or money into the events to obtain an exclusive gamechanger (no I dont have SnS but i am happy the people who spent 60m+ to win it got something useful and to be proud of)

Boss's are a little hard to be honest i have only encountered the first and second boss and it took long and it was a little difficult. So the rest are going to cause troble. Nerfing maybe?

To do 3 differents eyes od syrillax: for each class
To craft rogue eye: need 15fire essences,10glacial,10blood and ice scales essences
To craft warrior eye: 15blood,10glacial,10fire etc.
To craft mage eye: 15glacial,10fire,10blood etc.

+5 primary stat,3int 3dex 3str 1-1.5%crit
It should be strong like paracelsus gem ^^

It should be worth to get platinium tier.... or the most would stop at gold tier for Yowie egg only(yowie is great for me:if u add more mana and hp: would be op and nice)

Since the event is 4 weeks the crafting time for energy should be double as well.
Its fair imo atleast.
As far as the bosses are concerned they are pretty easy( i have played till tarlok only but guildies said other 2 are easy as well)
Its raining energy and dragon scales in wt4. I did 4-5 runs i had about 10 scales and 15-16 energy essences.
The new santa vanity looks sexy(though recoloured) and i like the new friest pet and the yowie pet.
Overall i have liked the event so far but The only problem is inventory!!! We need a double story token weekend.

Since STS make less point from boss defeat we need pretty good game ( without disconected) i sure we will not reach plat tier with that disconected problem.

So we have to craft normal gems in case we drop an Eye of Syrillax to craft; craft Tarlok's gems and Ursume Lockeds; and Frist; and energy. Four hours for an energy is like holding us hostage. The new Syrillax gem recipe was an improvement, I like the idea of Frist, but four hour to craft energy is like taking four steps backwards after you took five steps forward with the loot, reward, craftables and vanities. And four weeks of being slowed down is so not cool.

You know you could've sidestepped all these complaints about energy and make the event a true month of fun if you had made portals free-to-enter like last year. Just saying.

Hi everyone from spacetime the winter event is really fun. You all did a great job with it. The biggest issue i am having is all of the rich people ruining the auction for the rest of us. I normally buy plat to sell some energy during the event, so that I too can have some nice things and also so i am able to help my guild out and keep them all playing the game. right now with the market the way it is it isn't worth it to be investing in platinum which means money out of your pocket. would be nice if you could do something to fix this. Its ok to help out and make the market a bit cheaper but I dont believe its ok to abuse the system, like these people are. This is essentially the rich holding the rest of us normal people back from getting new and nice items. Only to help themselves. I play this game to help people and be generous because it makes me feel good doing it. I cant understand why the people with 400m gold feel they need to hold us back. in my mind that is greedy and not the actual spirit of the game. I just find it funny how everyone complains about the 1% being greedy and controlling the market in real life. But when given the opportunity they do the same thing. The market's price should be dictated by supply and demand. However when you get people posting things with malicious intent to affect the selling prices that should be an issue.

Just one idea off the top of my head limit the selling of any one item to 4. So people cant go and post 20 items for way less than the markets demands. Because in the long run the less people make of plat items the less plat they will buy. Just some food for thought. thanks for listening and keep up the great work with this game

First, I will state the good things about this event:
1. Yowie is a strong pet and a just reward when players reach the gold tier.
2. Good job with the connection. Since the event, I didn't disconnect once.
3. Thanks for bringing back the tarlok gems. I really do like them.
4. New mythic weapons. Arguably stronger than their Elon counterparts. Good job with the design of the bow. (Im a rogue btw)

Now, I will state SOME of the things i (or we) do not like at all:
1. Crafting time for energies is 4 hours. (I do get that this is a 4-week event but come on. 5 plats to enter event and 8 plats to rush the crafting process?) We are limited to 5 crafting slots and we want to craft the new lockeds and tarlok gems too.
2. The platinum reward is so weak and I feel like it was only made for low level twinks. 2 str 2 dex 2 int 1.5% crit is garbage compared to the Platinum reward last event which is +2 damage plus cool glowing effect. Reaching Platinum tier in this event is harder than Halloween's event so we really want a better (or as good as) the Paracelsus stone. BTW, Thanks for the paracelsus stones. I really love it
3. Your lack of response in this thread doesn't make the outraged players feel any better.


PS: I did not mention this event's vanities cause i really dont mind. i still think upgraded mythic armors are cooler. :) just my personal taste. And Thank you for this event. ^^

So we have to craft normal gems in case we drop an Eye of Syrillax to craft; craft Tarlok's gems and Ursume Lockeds; and Frist; and energy. Four hours for an energy is like holding us hostage. The new Syrillax gem recipe was an improvement, I like the idea of Frist, but four hour to craft energy is like taking four steps backwards after you took five steps forward with the loot, reward, craftables and vanities. And four weeks of being slowed down is so not cool.

You know you could've sidestepped all these complaints about energy and make the event a true month of fun if you had made portals free-to-enter like last year. Just saying.

I'm trying to get through silver tier but almost every time I enter the event I get the tribesman which gives 5-10 points? It's ridiculous, being in silver tier trying to get through it we need to fight more of the two dragons

If essences are made to drop more often, the logical thing to do to is keep crafting time short, otherwise people will go around with their inventories crammed with essences, have to remove some of them just so they teleport, and so on. With gems crafting at eight hours, crates at four, four hours for energy doesn't make sense at all. Four hours wait for three minute access to event map is outrageous.

1 easy issue with inventory could be let us be able to teleport with invetorys that are over the limit just for event then change it back easier than making up a whole new system or whatever if its even a concern

I am a newbie who has paid real money to play this app. The Winter event is ridiculously difficult and thus irrelevant to me. Since I am a paying player I would like to a request an option to opt out of all elements (e.g. ads, drops, etc.) that relate to the Winter event. It is nothing more than a nuisance and I have stopped all IAPs because this event is ruining the game for me.

The more I play the more exasperated I am getting. Stop, stop, stop it with all of these energy essences, dragon scales, and other garbage that is cluttering up the game play. This is not the game I paid to play. Stop it already! You guys are acting as though you are insanely desperate for players to spend money on this Winter non-Event. Put it somewhere where it doesn't interfere with normal game play and those who want to spend money on it can. Sheesh.

The brand new Icescale sets are the ones you want to keep an eye out for in the winter event. These sets are cool (get it?) already, but when you collect the whole set you'll get a set bonus which will give you a boost to your primary stat! Take a look:

Sometimes some items are missing lol, dont take it serious, even from last event(Halloween) there is something missing but no one have noticed, lol even up until now no one know what was it.

Because the inventory limit is so low at this stage of game, only 500 limit !!!! Its obviously not enough and it should be increased to over 1000 limit.

I hope it will be increased for other events. :)
