What happens if you hit ignore on accident? Not sure but it seems once this is done you cant reconnect with the person your friends with. Please look into this. Thanks

yes u can you go onto the ignore list and take them off it then you can do everything as normal again !!

Yep, you can't be friends with someone you're ignoring. Remove them from your ignore list and you can add them again.
