Level 47 pally weapon of choice?

Currently using the Zuraz Plasma Lance, or w/e.... anything better?

Luminous Harpoon of Destiny or Limbchopper of Destiny (fairly rare as 47 but out there) would both give better skill damage. Personally I'd use the harpoon.

I know the lance has much higher base damage, or is it based on dps...

There's no hard and fast rule about how much of a weapon's damage goes to skills, though generally higher damage weapons tend to add more. The shocklance and limbchopper are actually both major exceptions. The lance adds a far smaller proportion of it's damage to skill damage than any other spear type weapon. The limbchopper adds far more than you would usually get from an axe. The limbchopper is the best of all 1-hand weapons (even at level 50) for damage if I remember correctly, but the harpoon has a break armor proc and a little longer range.
